I Want You To Hear It
---
The wings used for flying away, I still can't see those yet. "To extend beyond and reach a falling sky, nothing is raised, nothing is noticed." Certainly, I've still decided to see you, but to be honest, I was hestitant at first.
This song in my pocket, though, I want you to hear it, I want you to hear it. It's performance rings with the squirrel as it climbs, flows with the submarine as it swims, prances around with the audience in its theatre. "I can still see the beach from my house, you melted into the sunset, but I remember you."
The wind on my face is so cold, the days have changed and gone by, but our summer is still there. I remember the sun then, like it was yesterday, to realize it was so bright. You said to me,"I'm not going to cry," and we waved each other a silent goodbye. Needless were our mouths to talk, our hands did the talking for us. "The days seem so cloudy now, passing by one after the other. But I remember thinking,'I know we're living for someone.' Yeah, the sun's decoration told that to me."
My consideration had not been towards you on that day, and I knew yours was not on mine. It was hard on the both of us, sending our declarations towards each other. I knew the subject ate at your heart as much as it did mine, but hopefully, they've both come to graduate, throwing their hats as they receive their slips of paper.
I never believed in religion, yet I've prayed each and every night for you to be fine, for you to have grown since then. I haven't changed at all, except now, I have the courage to go on. "I won't say goodbye, because whenever I close my eyes, we're together again, reliving the experience of the ups and downs of a rollercoaster." The center of fixtures still hang there in my mind, the way we used to influence any and all those around us. How I wish an electrician could come and wire us up again, do I ever miss those good old days. "My heart's beat would be enough to liquify an ice cube. Reading this license in my pocket, noticing the misspell of,'I remember you'."
Nobody could read me like a book as much as you had, and I always chuckle when I think back on it. I was your book, you were my manual, always informing me of what to do and when. Your breath quickly ghosts the side of my neck, as soon as it came the quicker it had left. "Everytime I hold your old, rusty guitar, I hear our song tugging at my heart. The days seem so cloudy now, passing by one after the other."
The wings used for flying away, I still can't see those yet. This song in the center of my pocket, though, I want you to hear it, I want you to hear it.
