A/N- I remember last year, there were tons of stories about Season 2, but so far, I haven't seen any for Season 3, or at least any that surrounds all of the characters, so here it is, what I think will happen or what I want to happen in Season 3 of Reign.

This is not going to have any super special twist, it's my version of Season 3 and want I think and hope will happen, so the events of the Season 2 finale will be the same. Francis is dying, Kenna is pregnant with Renaude's baby and going to Sweden, Greer is...wait what the hell is even going on with Greer? Anyways, Bash is linked to Delphine, Catherine and Elizabeth are teamed up, and Louis is god knows where. Seriously, where was Louis going again? England? Maybe you guys could remind me of what's going on with Louis and Greer, I rewatched the episode yesterday but Greer wasn't in it a lot, and Louis escaped, right?

Drop reviews about if you liked it, helpful critique, what you want me to write about, or theories for Season 3! Also, I'm trying my very best to make sure that the characters stay in character, but for Elizabeth, I'm just guessing from what we have from history.

This was also written purely so I could stand the wait until October. I hope it will help you too. :)

Chapter Summary- Catherine attempts to settle in at the Royal English Court, and plots with Elizabeth to get rid of Mary.

Queen of France.

Queen Mother.

Disgraced Queen.

Catherine D'Medici didn't know what other people thought she was, but she still thought of herself as the Queen of France. She knew that at the Royal English Court it would either be respect, or disrespect that she got. Unfortunately for the former Queen, it didn't appear that many English courtiers didn't like having the mother in-law of their greatest enemy walking around their court freely.

She was used to people disliking her, many did, but she wasn't so used to this disrespect. Not since she had been a child under siege had she been treated with disrespect, and that had surely been a long time ago. Still, Catherine paraded about the English Court with her head held high, knowing that the other courtiers were like lions wait into pounce on her the minute they found a weakness.

Catherine refused to let anyone hurt her, to find her weakness and use it against her. She wasn't with the people hat had bowed to her for many years, she was with people who most likely loathed her and wanted her dead. Weakness would mean certain pain and struggle, even possible death. She was truly the mouse in the lions den, trying to trick the lions into helping her, not killing her.

But it was not only being a former French Queen, it was that England was Protestant, whilst France was Catholic, and Catherine had been raised that way for many, many years. Of course, she did understand that there were Catholics in England, as it was legal, but most likely frowned upon by some, as they were lead by a Protestant Queen. It was just another reason why many courtiers didn't approve of Catherine, which was far from helpful.

However, she was walking the halls of English Court with dignity and pride, holding her head high and ignoring the deadly looks she was given by some. She was Catherine D'Medici, and she would not be brought down by simple nobles from a foreign country. Catherine may have been the disgraced Queen of France, but she was welcomed onto Elizabeth's council, mainly so she could play a fair part in ridding Europe of Mary. Catherine was smart, she knew that not many nobles in France would favour her over their King and Queen, but in England, she'd have more support from Elizabeth.

Catherine had been summoned to Elizabeth's private study, and she understood that this had to be important, or else the page wouldn't have made it sound as if Elizabeth had been so desperate. It had been difficult to find the private study, as English Court was so new to her. Unlike French Court, the walls were pure white, with red curtains hanging from the arched windows. It was all too knew to Catherine, and if had taken her a while to be able to find Elizabeth's private study, but she finally had.

Ignoring the four guards, Catherine simply strode in to the young Queen's study, her head still held high. "Elizabeth," Catherine said, and Elizabeth turned around. "I understand that you want to talk to me very badly."

Elizabeth sat down, and beckoned for Catherine to do the same. "Yes, I do want to speak to you, about Mary." Catherine had been trying to get Elizabeth to help her to plot against Mary for at least two weeks now, and now, Elizabeth was finally agreeing to it.

"And what about Mary?" Catherine replied. "You want to finally start making moves to get rid of her? Because I'm sure that she's doing the same as we speak." Elizabeth's dark eyes looked at her in annoyance.

"I want to get rid of her as easily as possible, without either of us being suspected." Elizabeth said, grabbing a goblet and filling it with wine.

"Elizabeth, no matter what we do to get rid of Mary, you will end up being blamed for it, even if you didn't do it. You're Mary's greatest enemy, France and Scotland will blame you for everything that goes wrong in Mary's life. There's no escaping that, you were meant to carry the blame on your shoulders for all of Mary's life." Catherine responded, hoping that she could coach the young Queen into realizing what her relationship with Mary was like, and would always be like.

"You're right, if Mary is harmed I get the blame. But what if we could find a way to get rid of the girl without being blamed for it?" Elizabeth replied, pushing the Italian woman even further, causing a wave of annoyance to wash over her.

"What, have you found a way to do that? Because having her poisoned won't do anything to see to it that you're not blamed, it would only increase your chances of being blamed," Catherine said. "However, you do seem to have a plan. But I assure you, if it has anything to do with hurting any of my children, I will make sure that Mary isn't the only one to die."

Elizabeth told up, running her hands along her red dress. "I am smart enough to know that you won't let any of your children be hurt, not even Francis who had you banished from Court for trying to protect him. Although, it surley would be a fine idea if Francis were to die. Mary would loose much power in France, and be forced to retreat to Scotland, where she hasn't been since she was a child. It would be a foreign country to her, and she faces many problems in Scotland. Catholics, Protestants. And she'd be closer to us, and the rest of England. She'd be in danger there, and would hold barley any power in France."

Catherine burst out of her chair, pure anger in her green eyes. "This plot will not carry out, no one will harm my children, even Francis. Our job was to get rid of Mary, not Francis. He does not need any more pain, especially after everything that Mary did to him."

"And what exactly did Mary do to him? For all we know, it would help us to get rid of a Mary, or to at least weaken her power in both France, Scotland and here in England." Elizabeth asked, clearly dying to know anything that might help to bring down Mary, even if it would only bring her power down a little bit.

Catherine's eyes felt as if they were burning with rage. She had thought that Elizabeth would simply have wanted to just get rid of Mary, but no, she thought that the best way of doing that was by killing Francis. Catherine would have agreed to it, if Francis wasn't her son. It was a smart idea, to destroy Mary's power in France first, then to go and have her killed while still Queen of two countries. But she knew that she could not let this play out, she would not watch her son die, no matter if he had had her exiled for trying to protect him, Mary, and France.

Without even sparing Elizabeth one word, Catherine stormed out, rage filling her. Did Elizabeth truly think that sharing an idea about killing Francis in front of her, his mother, was smart. Obviously she would refuse to let this plot continue, it was a plot to kill her eldest son. She had to get rid of Mary, without Francis being harmed in the process. The thought was great, but Catherine knew it would be almost impossible to do so. At this point, Francis had to be around Mary so often, and getting rid of her without Francis being hurt would be nearly impossible. And then there was the fact that Francis loved Mary with all his heart, and it would break him if she were to die.

Perhaps she could tell Elizabeth of Mary's affair with Louis, it would cause Mary to loose power without hurting Francis. If people heard of the rumours, and believed them, Mary would easily drop in position. Any children born between Mary and Francis would have their legitimacy questioned, and Mary could be removed from her spot as Queen of France. The nobles would not like having their Queen having had cheated on their King, right underneath his nose. It didn't matter if Francis had allowed it to go on, it was still wretched and horribly wrong, and Mary would easily have her status ruined. Loose popularity and favour. From there it would be easy to eliminate her.

It might cost Mary her head, but it would ensure that Catherine would have true, legitimate grandchildren. Not bastards, true children of a King and Queen. Stopping for a moment, she turned around and began walking in the opposite direction, towards Elizabeth's private study.

Opening the large oak doors, she saw Elizabeth in her study with a young, handsome man. "Elizabeth." Catherine called out, and Elizabeth and the man turned around.

"And now what do you need now?" Elizabeth asked. Catherine looked towards the young, handsome man. "I need him gone." Catherine replied, her voice low and serious.

Elizabeth beckoned for the man to leave, and the charming man obeyed her, not sparing Catherine a simple glance.

"I'm here to tell you exactly what Mary did to my son."

Elizabeth's mouth curled into a wicked smile, her eyes lighting up with anticipation.

"Go on."

A/N- There it is! I hope it wasn't too short, I was aiming for 2,000 words but I didn't make it. I was close though, so I hope it wasn't too short. It might appear a bit shorter because the paragraphs are pretty long, or at least appear to be in this format on my Ipad. sigh my computer isn't working.

Well, I hope you guys like it! Next chapter will be about Kenna.

Review please! And I you leave any theories for Season 3, I'll try to respond to you with my thoughts on them.

Until next time!
