Ok, so I have a new idea for a chapter for A New Era of Demigods, and while I'm working on it, I am going to submit a one-shot about...drum-roll, please!...JASPER. I know, what a shock right? So this is just something that...well...came to me in a dream. Hope you like it!

Leo said that the ship will be ready in a few days, and everybody is all tense and worked up. Especially Jason. He's so nervous about seeing his old camp that he keeps remembering more and more everyday, which doesn't help. So, he came to my cabin about five minutes ago asking me if I wanted to do something fun. I said sure, and now he's dragging me by the hand (which I don't mind at all) all over camp.

"Jason, do you have a destination in mind, or are you just going to drag me all over camp all day," I complained.

"Don't worry," he smiled back at me. "I've got a great evening planned."

A few minutes after he said that, we ended up at the canoe lake. There was a canoe there (no duh) and it had a picnic blanket with a picnic basket on top of it, no doubt filled with everything that we would need.

"Jason!" I gasped. "That's so sweet."

"I know," Jason smirked.

"I see someone's head is rather big this morning," I muttered.

"Yes, yes it is."

I slapped him upside the head.

"Ow!"

"Deal with it."

We headed toward the canoe lake, hand in hand, with one of us rubbing the back of one of our heads and the other grinning triumphantly. I think it's pretty obvious who is who. We got into the canoe, and Jason rowed while I started unpacking everything. There were mozarella and tomatoe subs, cokes, and two slices of chocolate cake.

"You know me so well," I grinned, unable to take my eyes off the sweet-smelling chocolate cake.

"Before you even ask, Pipes, NO, we CANNOT have dessert first," Jason said. We unwrapped the mozarella and tomatoe subs first, and they truly were delicious.

As it was summer, the sun didn't set until late. We got on the boat at around eight, even though we were missing dinner. The sun had started to set, and it turned the sky a beautiful glittering gold, as though Apollo was making it special just for us. He probably was.

"This is amazing," I breathed, watching the gorgeous sun.

"It is, isn't it," Jason replied, looking at it too. He then looked at me, and he started leaning over the picnic basket toward me. One problem: there was no room left in the canoe TO lean. Naturally with our luck, the minute he leaned over the boat dipped on my side and flipped.

"SAVE THE CAKE! SAVE. THE. CAKE!" I yelled. Sadly, I watched it turn all mushy and float to the bottom. Uh-oh. The nymphs won't be too happy about that. Jason and I were underneath the over-turned boat, and it was actually kind of romantic. I guess Jason realized this too, because he swam toward me and wrapped his arms around my waist. I put my hands on his chest and we just stared at each other. We started to lean in, but then we heard a splash as the boat flipped over. And someone cleared their throat. We looked over and saw a bunch of what looked like VERY angry nymphs. Jason and I looked at each other. We both yelled at the same time.

"Run!"

And that was short and sweet. Very, very, VERY short. But kinda sweet. I'm working on my other story, but I just wanted write something else while I was thinking about it. So I hope you enjoyed it! And please, write a few words and hit that button below!
