As I looked around the large and bright room I realised how lucky I was. The Cullen's were my hero's and I was very, very fortunate to be alive. They had taken me in after I was turned into a vampire by Victoria. I was almost killed by the Volturi but after the Cullen's explained the situation they left me alone and I was free to make up my own mind. Even though human's blood had turned me into a monster I was able to look past that and I accepted the Cullen's offer. I owe them my life. Esme treated me like one of them from the beginning and once I had calmed down and my thirst was well controlled everyone else had also treated me like that. Edward would not let me near Bella while she was still human but I well and truly accepted that. I didn't want to hurt Bella as I knew how that would have killed Edward. Bella and I had become great friends since she was turned into a vampire though, and I spend lots of time with Renesmee. Controlling myself was easy now and I had even spent a year in school. Even though I now had a fantastic, loving family I couldn't help but get lonely sometimes. Everyone else had a soul mate and I was sometimes left out. I felt like the odd one out. I was only sixteen when Victoria changed me, and I also looked younger. I had never had a real chance to find someone special who loved me. I don't want to feel sorry for myself but sometimes my mind wanders and I honestly can't help it. Maybe one day someone will come along and I will have someone to look after me too. Just maybe.

I woke from my daydream to the sound of Esme's voice. Her, Alice and Rosalie were sitting on the huge living room sofa discussing clothes and fashion. Alice had insisted a week ago that all of us were to have a complete new wardrobe of clothes. Bella had been sulking about this and she and Edward had spent most of their week in their own house in the woods with Renesmee. I wasn't thrilled by clothes either but Alice had gotten so excited about it that I had smiled and gone along with whatever she said. I don't like to cause a fuss. I went and joined them on the sofa and peeked at the folder that Alice had on her lap. They were working on Rosalie's look at the moment. Esme smiled at me and I smiled back. That always made her happy. She was very motherly.

I was soon totally bored of smiling and agreeing with what Alice was saying so instead I got up off the sofa and went to my bedroom. Edward had given it to me as soon as he had moved into his new home with Bella because it used to be his. Just as I went to sit down on my armchair to read a new book I heard Alice calling my name from downstairs. I rolled my eyes and sighed. Typical. It was just like Alice to do that just as I sit down to some peace and quiet. I got up and chucked my book onto the armchair ready for later then flew downstairs to see what Alice wanted.

"Hey!" She said. "Want to see the stuff I have designed for you?!" Her face looked like a child's that was opening up a gigantic present. I couldn't ever refuse her when she looked like that so I replied as enthusiastically as I could that I would love to and once again sat down next to them and got stuck into their excitement and conversations.
