Cyclops' Night on the Town by Batman100

Characters: Cyclops/Scott S. & Jean Grey

Genre: Humor

Rating: K+

Cyclops and Jean decide to take a stroll through the streets of New York…with particularly humorous and romantic results

"Scott? Tell me again, why are we walking down the streets of New York alone? It's too risky, it's unbelievably dangerous and… a little fun, if I do say so myself." Jean grinned as she and her longtime boyfriend Scott were now passing by the Grand Central Station. Scott wasn't the one who suggested this idea. It was actually Professor Xavier's idea, since he thought the X-Men can enter the city, but in secrecy of course.

"Hey, I just had an idea!" Scott piped up before continuing. "What is it then?" Jean asked hesitantly. Scott opened his mouth, trying to say it but all that came out was… "I am the monarch of the sea, the ruler of the Queen's Navy, whose praise Great Britain may loudly chant." Scott sang while Jean observed in utter embarrassment. Memo to self: Do not let Scott get near Beast's Gilbert & Sullivan records. Jean thought, rubbing her forehead as Scott posed on a table like he was on a ship before leaping down and rushing to a nearby pub, dragging Jean with him by grabbing her arm. "Scott! Please! You're wearing out the soles of my high heels!" Jean hollered desperately, trying in vain to restrain Scott before something crazy happens. "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!" Scott screamed as he burst into the pub, receiving dozens of looks of confusion from the patrons and the usual look of embarrassment from Jean. "Dude, it's Wednesday night. Sheesh, where the heck did you learn your acting from?" the bartender grunted. Scott finally took in the much-needed sanity and sat down at a nearby booth, with Jean following and sitting down before hearing a growling sound that sounded very familiar… "Um, Scott?" Jean asked nervously. Scott turned only to come face-to-face with Victor Creed aka Sabretooth, Wolverine's nemesis and one of the most dangerous mutants the X-Men have ever faced. Before Scott and Jean could reply, they were sprayed with knockout gas in less than two seconds. Scott could only make out seeing a familiar-looking helmet before succumbing to the anesthetic…

"Ohhhh, my head. Geez, what the heck happened? Now I know what a blast of pepper spray feels like." Scott groaned, not realizing that he and Jean were actually imprisoned in the Acolytes base. Fortunately, Colossus and Gambit have already reformed and have joined the X-Men, meaning it's only a matter of time before an escape plan is possible. Scott turned left and right to find Jean, and saw her slumped on her bunk above Scott's. She was heavily sedated, lightly snoring, her hair dangling loosely. Scott could've sworn he heard Jean say something, but before he could reply, Jean rolled over and dropped right on top of Scott. "…Kitty, take my $40. Go with Kurt. Buy me the Titanic." Jean mumbled in her sleep. Scott tried to find her X-Belt, but to his delight, the Belt was handed to him by a familiar-looking armored man. "How may I help you, Comrade?" Colossus grinned eagerly. Scott couldn't help but laugh in delight. "Boy, are we glad to see you! Where's Gambit?" Scott asked. "Ah, don't worry. He's on his way here. And with some extra help." Colossus added before continuing. "Now come on then, we don't want to keep the good Professor waiting, do we?" "How are we gonna escape? That wall's made of reinforced steel." Scott commented. Colossus laughed at the comment and said "Nonsense. Leave that to me." He then armored up, and in one second, the wall was formed into a door-shaped exit. "Let's go!" The three heroes fled as quickly as possible. This is one night on the town we'll never forget. Cyclops thought.

I do not own X-Men Evolution or "I am the Monarch of the Sea"
