Ok, so this is an iCarly fic inspired by the song I Kissed a Girl by Katy Perry. Even though this song isn't exactly one of my favorites, a parody came to mind and I came up with I Kissed a Dork, which is perfect for a Seddie song.
I hope you enjoy the fic, or at least the song.
I Kissed a Dork
My first kiss with Freddie… It was something I never really thought would happen. I want to share this moment with him forever, so I wrote him a parody song about it. Here's what happened when I gave it to him in study hall.
"Freddie," I said, hesitantly holding out a piece of paper with song lyrics scrawled all over it in my poor penmanship. "I wrote this for you."
"Aww, how sweet," Freddie said as he took the paper from my hand. "I Kissed a Dork? Is that like I Kissed a Girl?"
I blushed and placed my right hand on my forehead in embarrassment as he called my parody. "Yes, but it's nothing like the original song, Freddie! I only used it for a rhythm to set the lyrics to, I swear!"
Freddie chuckled and rubbed my head. "Don't worry about it, Sam. It's the thought that counts." He held the paper up and glanced at it once more. "Let's take a look at it, shall we?"
He read:
"I can't believe this has happened
Not my intention
I lost my mind at your hand
I had no caution
It's not what I'm used to
This feeling I have for you
I'm wondering why you
Caught my attention
"I kissed a dork and I liked it
The way of his perfect actions
I kissed a dork just to try it
I hope my best friend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
This means I'm in love tonight
I kissed a dork and I liked it
I liked it
"No, I don't even know her name
Your now-ex girlfriend
She's lost inside our little game
And now she's lost you
It's not what good girls do
Not how they should behave
But no you are all mine
Have to obey
"I kissed a dork and I liked it
The way of his perfect actions
I kissed a dork just to try it
I hope my best friend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
This means I'm in love tonight
I kissed a dork and I liked it
I liked it
"You my love are so magical
Sweet face, soft lips, so kissable
Hard to resist so lovable
Too good to deny it
Ain't no big deal, it's innocent
"I kissed a dork and I liked it
The way of his perfect actions
I kissed a dork just to try it
I hope my best friend don't mind it
It felt so wrong
It felt so right
This means I'm in love tonight
I kissed a dork and I liked it
I liked it."
Freddie set the paper down on his desk and looked up at me. "You're a crazy girl, you know that, Sam?" he laughed. "I've got something for you, too." He took out his own notebook and began writing something in it with the green pen I had given him earlier on in the study hall.
I waited patiently as he wrote each beautiful cursive letter on the page. When he was finished, he handed me the paper, love in his eyes. I took the paper and read to myself:
"Cherish the past,
Live for the present,
Reach for the future.
"Remember what our past has been,
You know our present will be okay,
Keep your beautiful eyes on the future,
And think about me everyday."
So giving the lyrics to Freddie, even though at first I thought it was a stupid idea, actually turned out to be one of the more intelligent things I've ever done. I got my point across, and an original poem by Freddie that I can hold onto and cherish forever.
Nature9000, thank you for giving me this idea even though you didn't even mean to! Everyone else, I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd review and tell me how you liked my play on the lyrics to make it an iCarly related song.
