The Narwhal Song
A/N so basically my friend introduced me to the narwhal song, I started to scribble without a plan and this just kind of happened… Enjoy (:
Disclaimer: not mine, never happened, Jess may be slightly mental but not this mental… I don't think… oh and the song isn't mine either.
Abby sauntered into the ARC, frowning when her favorite brunette didn't instantly accost her. "Morning Abby." Becker smiled at his petite friend. "Mornin' Becker," Abby mumbled, then she had a thought, "hey Becker, there hasn't been an alert has there?" The soldier shook his head, "thankfully no, why?" Abby started to think again, "oh no reason, just looking for Jess…" Becker chuckled, "the last time I saw her, she was mumbling something about Narwhals… I think… and was headed towards the ADD room." Abby looked at Becker blankly and asked, "Nar… what?" The soldier just shook his head again and smiled saying, "No idea, you'll have to ask Jess…" Abby thanked Becker and wandered off in the direction of the detector room.
When the blonde was about three corridors away she heard upbeat music blasting, "Narwhals, Narwhals swimming in the ocean, causing a commotion, cause they are so awesome." It was definitely Jess in there. Abby had finally reached her destination and was stood slightly back from the doorway, watching her nineteen year old girlfriend stood in the middle of the massive room, dancing away with her arms over her head… To a song about some dolphin with a horn on it's head.
"Narwhals, Narwhals, swimming in the ocean, pretty big and pretty white, they'd beat a polar bear in a fight." Abby was biting her hand to stop herself from laughing, eager to see more of the young field coordinators erratic dancing. "Like an under water unicorn they have a kick ass facial horn, they are the Jedi of the sea, they stop Cthulu eating ye."
Jess spun around, her arms still in the air and stopped dead as she spotted her boss stood outside his office. "Oh gosh, I'm sorry sir, I'll just get on with my work." Lester rolled his eyes and snapped at the embarrassed girl, "Miss Parker, next time you feel the need to have a fit, please refrain until after work." Jess stammered, "y, yes sir." As Lester stalked back into his office and closed his blinds once more.
A very red faced Jess groaned and slunk over to her desk, turning the music off on her way. Abby waited for a few minutes then snuck up behind Jess and wrapped her arms around the younger woman's slender shoulders, "tell me, do all field coordinators dance like that or just mine?" Jess grinned and slapped Abby's hand, "you're just jealous of my mad skills. I know you are." Abby kissed the top of her head and whispered, "no, I love your 'mad skills' darling."
Eight hours later
Jess let herself into Abby's flat and smiled at the familiar tune. "I knew you were jealous of my mad skills." Jess called leaning her hip against the sofa. Abby stuck her tongue out and continued dancing until the end of the song.
