A/N: I saw the flower picture from Asian F and a plot bunny was born. And yes, I just had to have Blaine calling Kurt angel because it's adorable. Proceed.
"Really, Blaine? Really?"
Kurt tried not to smile but failed miserably. Because really, when your boyfriend tells you to meet him under the bleachers and shows up with a bouquet of roses, you don't complain.
"I know it's cheesy", said the black haired beauty, who was currently sporting a grey bow tie and an equally grey vest. "It's actually beyond cheesy and not something I would normally do. But we're not normal." He took a few careful steps forward. "We're extraordinary. So I'm doing this."
Kurt crossed his legs expectantly, his eyes filled with curiosity, laughter and pure adoration.
"Why?" he said. "Not that I don't appreciate the gesture", he added when a wave of insecurity started to literally radiate from his boyfriend's body", it's very romantic. And while this could very well pass as a scene from Meet me in St. Louis, it's not really… you."
Blaine laughed. Leave it to Kurt to compare their relationship to a musical.
"Well, it's mainly an apology", he said. "For even thinking about trying out for Tony."
"Blaine, you don't have to-"
"No, hear me out. I should have known that you'd want that part. Sure, it's not exactly made for you, but you would still rock it. You want this, you need this, and I should have known. Frankly, not realizing kind of makes me feel like a bad boyfriend."
"You're not-"
"I sing because I can and because I like it", Blaine continued. "I'm alive to do it, so why not? But you, Kurt…" He once again stepped closer. "You sing to live." He silently placed the flowers in his boyfriend's lap, and smiled. "You have ambitions. You want to be a star." A faint blush tinted his cheeks. "That's partially why I feel in love with you."
A wide smile graced the countertenor's delicate features as he raised the flowers to smell them.
"They're lovely, Blaine, really, but you didn't have to."
"Yes, I did. Remind me to never get in the way of your career again."
Kurt rose and wrapped his boyfriend in a one armed hug, carefully avoiding crushing the fragile roses between their bodies. He could feel Blaine's lips pressing softly against his ear:
"I love you, angel."
The moment they pulled apart Kurt swallowed, visibly worried, and said:
"To tell you the truth, I'm kind of nervous about doing this part. Well, actually the word terrified would be more accurate."
Blaine laughed and pressed a light kiss to the beautiful boy's temple.
"Courage."
