Link sat quietly, kicking his legs back and forth gently, staring at the sky above. The sun had nearly disappeared below the horizon and the stars had begun to appear. As the day darkened and the moon appeared, Link sighed. He has recently been dumped by Zelda. She told him that the magic wasn't there anymore, and that she wanted to move on to someone else, someone better. He thought back at the times he had saved here, the countless times he had risked his life for her. He frowned and fought back tears. It just wasn't fair.

He shook his head and stood up. Crying was no use. It was too late and Zelda had already moved on, so it was time that he did so too. He looked up at the sky, and noticed a particular star. It was larger, brighter and more beautiful than the other stars and he had the strangest feelings that it was special. So he closed his eyes and made a wish. He wished that he would meet someone special, someone that he could love and cherish, and who would love and cherish him back. He wished for someone who would support him, and he would in turn support as well. As he opened his eyes, he paused for a moment. The air was still, and he was alone. He laughed quietly at himself for believing something as silly as wishing on a star. A single tear fell from his eye, slipped down his cheek and dropped to the floor. He decided it was time to go to bed, in case he had any more silly ideas.

As he slept that night, he felt a great warmth in his heart that he couldn't explain but welcomed greatly.

That next morning, he awoke to the sound of soothing guitar music. The melodies were some magnificent that whoever was playing them had the fingers of an angel. Link smiled softly, but quickly sat up in his bed. What on earth was someone doing in his bedroom? As he looked around he saw a figure sat on a chair in the corner of the room. They were sat in a casual position, holding a guitar on one knee. Their hands effortlessly danced on the strings. Link gasped and the figure took notice. They lifted their head and looked deeply into Link's eyes.

"I sensed you make a wish last night. You wished for someone to love." The figure whispered softly.

Link didn't know what to do, so he just stared at the figure in front of him. The figure smiled and stood up, resting the guitar against the wall. They smiled at Link as they sat at the end of his bed.

"I'm Glen Campbell, and I am here to ask you on a date." Link blushed and looked at the man in front of him. Had his dreams come true? Glen held a hand out in front of him, and Link took it.
