Disclaimer: This was based on the true story of Julie, Matt and Danielle. Danielle had supposedly died but at her funeral they heard crying from the coffin. I don't own Victorious and I don't own any of the original characters. Willow and Dr. Oliver originated from Broken But Not Destroyed
Jade sat so still it was as if she, herself were dead. She wished she were. Her life wasn't worth living anymore. Her little Willow was gone. Why didn't GOD just take her?
She clung to Beck and sobbed uncontrollably. She only breathed when she remembered how. Beck was worried about her. Jade never handled grief well. He saw even the smallest of things and he was worried this was going to take her life.
"Beck did you hear that," Jade asked stopping her crying and looked at her fiancée who was looking at her confused.
"Listen," she told Beck.
"Any particular thing I should be listening to," he asked her.
Before she could answer he heard it. It was a snoring sound he was all too familiar with and it was coming from the coffin.
There was chatter.
"Who would be so rude as to fall asleep during a funeral," one person whispered.
"I know," another person remarked, "I'd like to tell that person what I'll tell you what-"
"IT'S COMING FROM THE COFFIN," Jade exclaimed.
"Coming from the- Jade that's impossible," Beck told her gently regretting it the moment the words were out of his mouth.
Jade shook her head. It wasn't impossible. She would recognize her daughter's snoring anywhere. Willow was her sister before she was her daughter and was adopted by Jade after the death of their parents. Jade loved Willow like she had never loved anyone including Beck.
Standing up she set her pace determined. She marched over to the coffin and said a prayer before opening it. There it was. No, there she was. Willow was sound asleep but still breathing.
Dr. Oliver, Beck's uncle checked her pulse.
"It's beating," he said, "and strong"
"But she was pronounced dead," Dr. Sippers said
"Her pulse says otherwise," Dr. Oliver replied.
"How did this happen," everyone murmured.
It only took a few minutes but Willow was up and moving around like a normal. Jade, who had never believed in GOD or anything else knew now that GOD did exist. Jade who had never had patience for anything and was always anxious knew now that there are some things that weren't important. Suddenly everything that used to matter didn't matter in the least. All that mattered was that she had Willow back.
She held Willow and clung to her like she would never let her go. Beck held Jade and Willow. Suddenly everything made sense again. The irony is that none of this made sense. Neither of them could care less.
