Caroline Julian made her way to the office of one Special Agent Seeley Booth, planning on talking to him about a current case. She was surprised however, to hear a happy little tune being whistled from the inside. Since when did the good agent whistle out jolly tunes? He looked up at the sound of his door opening and she spoke.

'Well hey there Cherie, what's got you in such a happy whistling mood?'

At the mention of his mood, his smile grew even more and he walked towards her.

'Well Cherie, let me be the first to tell you that Bones and I are now officially a couple and-'

Caroline Julian couldn't stop the huge grin that came over her face and immediately cut in.

'It's about damn time Seeley Booth!'

But he wasn't done with the good news apparently, because he spoke up again.

'But wait there's more!'

Caroline was instantly quiet. What other happy news could there be? This was the best news she had heard in ages. Seeley spoke up after her inquiring look, the grin still large on his face.

'Bones is pregnant. We're going to have a kid!'

Caroline was shocked into silence. This was huge news, but it was definitely good news. Though she couldn't see the good doctor as a mother, Seeley was an excellent father and she knew he would teach Dr Brennan everything he knew. She snapped out of it however, when Seeley started laughing, causing her to look up at him.

'I should take a picture, it's not everyday we get to see the great Caroline Julian shocked into silence!'

Caroline wasn't big on physical contact, but she wrapped Seeley in a hug, congratulating the man she had come to see over the years as a son.

'Congratulations Cherie! That's amazing news!'

He laughed and patted her on the back. Caroline understood how he felt as she herself couldn't get the smile off her face. She let go of him and asked,

'Do the rest of the team know?'

He laughed in response.

'Yup. Bones told them in a typical Bones fashion; over a dead body. Literally.'

Caroline laughed along with him. That was so typical of the doctor.

'You know Cherie, when you first said Dr Brennan was going to be a mother I wasn't too sure but-'

Instantly his smile dropped.

'So that's what the silence was about.'

'Don't interrupt me Seeley Booth.'

He gave her a look.

'Yes ma'am'

'As I was saying, I wasn't too sure but then I knew you'll teach her everything you know about how to be a good parent, considering you are one yourself-'

He smiled at that.

'- And also the fact that she regards all those squinterns of hers as her kids. She treats them well, like she's their work mother if you get what I mean.'

Seeley smiled at that.

'Yeah she does doesn't she? And I know people are going to think she won't be a good mother, but I've seen her with Parker and he absolutely adores her.'

'I don't doubt that for a second Cherie. I know the two of you will be great parents together.'

'Thanks Caroline, means a lot.'

There was a content quiet for a bit then Caroline spoke up again in a mock annoyed tone.

'Although I'm overjoyed at this news, I did come here regarding a case. Don't think you can use all this happy sappy stuff to get yourself out of work Cherie.'

Seeley gave a small laugh.

'I would never think of doing such a thing Cherie.'

The two of them sat at his desk, minds back on the case, but both still having smiles on their faces.
