attempt #1. beethoven's fifth.
unsuccessful. while the very beginning was at a suitable pace, it quickly sped up to unsustainable levels. i fell off the bed.
also, feliciano laughed at me.
attempt #2. carmina burana.
unsuccessful. feliciano started trying to sing along and began laughing somewhere around the end of "o fortuna".
…so did i.
attempt #3. 1812 overture.
completely unsuccessful, i may or may not have made a french joke, feliciano may have sprained something. i do hope he's all right.
attempt #8. william tell overture.
NO. why did i let anyone talk me into trying it out. do not take outside recommendations, must remind feliciano not to listen when feliks suggests liszt.
attempt #10. turandot.
note to self: DO NOT use opera ever again. feliciano will try to sing along, get distracted, and ruin the mood.
addendum: making opera jokes didn't help. restrain self.
attempt #17. selected parts of carmina burana.
slightly more successful, managed to maintain a good pace until realized what was being sung, at which point feliciano realized and began attempting to dirty talk in latin vulgate. not bad, but tempo was not optimal.
attempt #20. boléro.
too repetitive. both started yawning a bit.
attempt #23. kaiser waltz.
decently successful, both managed not to think of austria, good pacing, not too intrusive. overall quite nice
might try again.
final addendum: remember to keep feliciano from pretending to conduct an orchestra to avoid further blows to the nose.
