Note from the Correspondent: I was doing some early Spring cleaning when I found a folded piece of paper with a note from my sister hastily scribbled on it. Imagine my surprise when I opened it up and found the following. The date is unknown, but probably two years ago, at least. This nicely sums up the relationship I had with the fiction that I surrounded myself with.
Initial contact:
"Dearest Longbottoms,
It has been a good long while since I have seen either of you. It is my sincerest desire that you visit me at once, and I insist that you stay at least a week. You will find enclosed, 10 muggle American dollars with which to purchase a Chinese dinner en route. Also, I have found a few galleons and a sickle that Favian must have dropped during his last visit. Get something nice for yourselves, but remember: Don't spend it all in one place.
Yours sincerely and forever,
RM"
Response:
"Dear Roxanne,
Even I can't make the Chinese chap open his shop this early … And we're on a first-name basis. I have found and enclosed a strawberry wafer cookie, though, if you'd like. We're packing for our stay, and must say, it was nice to hear from you.
In transit --
Neville"
