Clark Kent walked down the sidewalks of Metropolis in an unusually calm day to contradict the city's records of crimes and disasters. But Clark didn't mind. He saw it as a gift.

He soon reached his destination: Superman Memorial Park. He simply walked pass the giant golden statue of himself in his hero-threads to the smaller statue of the teenager who bore a resemblance to him. The reporter sat down at a bench in front of the statue of the heroic looking boy.

Hi, Conner he thought to himself, or least pray to someone in the great beyond. Sorry I couldn't done this sooner. I was busy and… I don't think you can stand with yourself if you kept Superman from his duties.

Tim told me about you… and your connection to Luthor, so don't think I don't understand everything about you.

I'll put this as simply as I can: If you compared our lives together: you're the one who had the harder life. You experienced love, humiliation, and pride more than I had at your age… by biological sense, of course.

I remember when we first meet, I could hear how your heartbeat became faster THAN a speeding bullet. It must have been a heavy burden to be in the shadow of a man that you're only a half of. You were a cocky, showboating, little punk, but that was your way of standing out from being the Boy Scout that I was. But deep down, you cared for people as much as me, and for this I was proud to call you part of the family, of El and Kent.

Sometimes I envied you, Conner. You started out only as Superboy, no double life that made your life crazy. But still, this made you feel alone in this world. But you came a long way. You started out solo, then worked with Cadmus, formed Young Justice, became a supernatant, a Kent, and then a Titan.

You may have boosted on how to took down bad guys like King Shark and all, but you always underestimated your effect on people around you. Bart raced straight at Superboy Prime to punch him after he heard of your death. Cassie and Tim are still devastated that you're gone. Recently, you saw yourself as a living weapon, whose purpose was to just kick butts, be it friend or foe. But you did more than that. You help and inspired people. Another reason why you deserver everything that you have.

As for being part Lex… well: You had made some blunders in your time, but you regretted them, learned from them, and moved on with your life without forgetting them, all of that makes you stand out far from what Lex Luther is. Tana Moon, that 'Cooper' kid, You miss them so much and always ponder what you could have done different to save them.

I'm proud of you Conner, and I consider you like my own. I only wish that I had spent more time of you. But of course… that's what every father wishes when he out lives his son.

Then, with his superhearing, Clark heard a cry of help from the other side of the planet.

Well, I'm glad we had this talk. Good Bye, Kon-El. Say hi to Kal-L and Lois-2 for me. I'll miss you, Superboy.

And within the blinking of an eye, Clark Kent ran as a super speed blur, taking off his pants, shirt, and glasses to have his blue, yellow, and red supersuit show. And with one leapt, he flew over a tall building and soon over Metropolis itself. Superman remembered how he saw it the first time from the sky like know and pondered how Superboy felt when he first saw the sight himself…
