I do not own the Powerpuff Girls, but I love Bubbles dearly.
He was right she was a crybaby, but he was no better. BrickBubbles [ONESHOT]
Tantrums
Brick rubbed his face with his hand. "Why are you crying?"
He was trying to be nice. He really was, but really? A few jokes and Bubbles was blubbering like a baby.
"Oo…id…I…ant…ay…ith…ooo!" The blonde female howled at the last of her hiccupped sentence that made no sense at all.
A twitch was suddenly working at his right eyelid like no tomorrow. "Bubbles."
She sobbed loudly. "ll…ee…ud…I…omise!"
"Bubbles, goddamn it, quit being such a baby!" Brick kicked one of the chairs in his house. Butch and Boomer had already hightailed it out of there at the first sign of tears from the blue Powerpuff girl. The cowards. He'd show them the next time he saw them what it meant to leave him with all the responsibility of a blubbering stupid superhero.
Brick started randomly hitting and kicking things. He slowly destroyed one object after another until Bubbles was solemnly watching him without the entire ear splitting wailing she had been doing earlier.
"Are you done throwing your tantrum?"
Bubbles offended glare worried him for a split second before she replied. "Are you? At least I don't destroy things when I get upset."
This was the worst day of his life. A Powerpuff girl was turning his nose up at him. Him. He was the one that was better than them!
"You mean besides trying to shatter my ear drums?"
Bubbles pouted. "I'm sorry. It's the supersonic voice."
"Yeah, that's just fricking perfect." Brick pulled at his long hair. "You drive me up the wall Bubbles! Why do you make me so crazy?"
The blonde girl was tempted to giggle, but she figured she might get kicked for that. "You make me cry Brick. Why do you have to be so mean?"
There was a simple answer to that. The redhead knew. He dropped onto the couch next to Bubbles. There was just something about her that got under his skin. Most of the time it drove him insane; it made him want to destroy everything within sight. Then when all the aggression and tears were over he'd be willing to admit…
It's probably because he loved her that he got so wound up. And it was probably because she loved him that she cried so hard when he pushed her away.
"I'm really stupid." Brick admitted as he pulled his girlfriend closer.
"I'm a crybaby." Bubbles admitted back, not wanting to fight anymore.
He kissed her. "You're my cry… baby."
Bubbles laughed at his secret pet name. It was a way for him to be affectionate and manly at the same time. She sunk into his bright eyes and skillful lips.
They both had a tendency to throw tantrums when they were upset with each other, but afterward, they had all the fun in the world making up with each other.
NOTES:
Bubbles says, "You said I can't play with you!" Then she says, "I'll be good I promise!" If you were wondering that that babbling was about.
The cry…baby thing makes me want to write another BrickBubbles oneshot with that theme… I already have two other oneshot ideas with this couple I kinda want to write out.
Review please!
