Bromance
"B-Bulk?"
"Hey, Jackie, 'sup? ... what's wrong? You look sick, do you need to see Ratchet?"
"No, no, I'm fine, it's just..."
To see Wheeljack nervous made Bulkhead nervous. His best friend, the cockiest guy he knew in the galaxy was at wits end. About what?
"Do you need to talk about something? Spit it out, Jackie, you're scaring me."
"It's nothing like that, it's just..." Wheeljack breathed. "I... I think I like Arcee."
The green Wrecker's jaw could have unhinged and clanged to the floor.
"'C-Cee?" he stammered. "W-Well, of course she's the only girl on Team Prime... Well, congrats!"
A faint smile was on his friend's face. His best friend was in love. He knew the day would come when one of his friends found a nice femme and start seeing her, though Bulkhead's own experience in that area? He had as much experience as being in the Decepticon militia.
"He's love sick...!"
Looking down, the two Wreckers realized Miko was under their feet.
"Miko, how long where you there?" ask Bulkhead.
Sometimes when they had long conversations, it was difficult to notice if one of the humans was under their feet. Everyone made a habit to look down before they walked anywhere.
A mischievous smile was across the Asian girls' face. "Long enough."
She turned to Wheeljack. "So, Jackie has a crush on 'Cee...! What are you gonna do about it?"
The two mechs were puzzled.
"Crush, why would Jackie want to crush Arcee?" the green Autobot asked. "That would be kind of a problem, right? Jackie wants Arcee to like him. Not fight him."
"No, silly, argh!" she face-palmed. "It's a human saying... a crush is when you like someone but that someone doesn't know you like them but you still keep on liking them anyways."
"Ah... I see," said Bulkhead, Wheeljack nodding.
"I was wondering when you two were going to hook up...!" a teasing smile was on her face. "Ask her out!"
"... More human sayings?" Wheeljack asked, still puzzled.
Miko sighed, slouching. "This is going to be harder than it looks..."
Once she looked up, her eyes beamed. "There she is now. Hey, Arcee!"
Wheeljack waved his arms frantically as Arcee drew closer and closer.
"No...!"
The human girl smiled. "Go on...! Ask her...!"
"Ask her what?!"
"A drive, patrol time with her, energon... just ask her!"
"Yes, Miko, what do you need?" asked the azure warrior.
Everyone acted like an argument never happened once they heard her voice.
Miko tried to silence her giggles. "Wheeljack has something to say."
Wheeljack gave Miko the look, then turned to Arcee, trying to gasp for air.
"I... I would like to join you out on patrol tonight. And maybe... get some energon? Is... that alright?"
"... Sure."
Everyone could breathe again. That was easy. Jackie must be so overjoyed on the inside. It looks like Miko will live another day.
"I'll be going out in five, so get ready." She waved to everyone else. "See you then."
The two mechs looked at Miko, optics just about welling up with lubricant.
"Thank you...!"
The girl gave a two fingered wave-salute.
"Don't mention it! Romance and bromance, no prob...!"
