Lara walked into the ballroom witch was right next door to the dinning room. She had turned her ballroom into a large gym with an indoor pool at the end. Lara felt she needed to work off her strength and so she headed for nearest sprinting area. She sprinted for 30 minutes and swam for 50 minuets. She thought about taking up this quest, and thought of Chase and wondered what he was doing. She already had plenty of media covering her life. She was famous. She didn't need more publicity. She had enough. On one of the first quests she ever went on as an archeologist, for the Atlantian sceion, she had journalists flooding the main gate. SO the last thing that she needed was to go on some great big dig in Cambodia. Oh what the heck. She thought. Why not. It's not like they have an expert over there. I'll go. She finally decided
Chase's phone blasted out sound from his desk. Chase walked in carrying an arm full of groceries.
"Oh, CHRIST!" Chase yelled. He through down the groceries and ran to the phone.
"Uh, hello?" He asked.
"Hi, this is London cellular phones, calling about your long distance fees. You have not paid them yet Mr. Carver."
"Oh…Ah, yes that. Can I contact you later, I'm waiting on a very important call." Carver replied.
"Sir? I'm sorry but that is not possible." The sales man coughed.
"Oh! GO BUGGER OFF!" Chase yelled. He hung up the phone and began to slink back to the groceries when the phone rang again. Chase walked over to the phone and picked it up. "I said BUGGER OFF!" He yelled.
"Oh, more money problems? I suppose you don't want me to go on your little dig?"
"LARA! Oops. Sorry. Stupid Sales man just called."
"Aaaah, and I suppose you're mad about that." Lara teased.
"Quite. Are you going on the dig?" He asked.
"Why of course. You need supervision. I don't want a whole dig site to go to waste because of some dumb mistake that you made.
"Very funny."
"I found it quite amusing." She laughed.
"So I'll pick you up in the morning?"
"7:00 AM, sharp."
"You'll be ready?"
"Of course." She smiled.
"Okay."
"Bye then." Lara burst out laughing. She forgot how funny the man could be. It had been 9 months since there break up, and this little phone call made Lara remember the good times. Hillary walked in the room and peered at Lara with a confused look.
"What could possibly be so funny?" He asked.
"Pack my bags Hilly! I'm headed for Cambodia!"
