Emma screamed out in anguish as tears ran rampant down her face. She crouched down and pressed her fisted hands to her forehead. Her mouth was open and her mind was screaming, but she made no sound. Her stomach was in knots, her heart was racing, and her mind was pounding with rage. When she closed her eyes she saw a cloud of red and purple. She pressed the toes of her boots in the ground and pushed herself up violently. And then she started running.
Her heels echoed loudly as she thundered down the hall. She finally made it to the door and she immediately began pounding both fists against it. She only stopped to scream out, "Killian!"
"Killian, I know you're in there!"
"Killian!" She screamed with white hot rage.
"KILLIAN!" Her venomous screech echoed down the silent hallway.
Suddenly the door swung open before her fist could come pounding down again.
"What Swan?" Killian asked angrily, stepping into the open doorway.
"Is that all you have to say to me?" She asked incredulously.
"What do you want me to say, Swan?" He sighed.
"I want to hear the truth!"
"There's nothing to tell."
"You're lying through your teeth!"
Killian lunged out into the hallway. "Don't push me, Swan," he warned.
"I want to hear you say it!" she demanded.
"Why?" He challenged, "It doesn't matter." He raised his voice, "It's not going to change anything!"
"I know that!" She cried out impatiently. He squared his shoulders and made a move to garb the doorknob. Her eyes quickly snapped to his movement and she flung out her hand to zap him with her magic.
"Emma!" He snapped and lashed out to grab her wrist.
"Don't call me that," She seethed through her teeth. He pulled her wrist quickly and grabbed the back of her neck, effectively locking her body against his.
"You really want me to say it?" He whispered, pulling her even closer.
"Unless you don't have the nerve," She stared into his maleficent eyes.
"I don't think you have the heart to hear it," He snapped back. She spun her arm around and furiously shoved him back. He growled angrily and turned around to walk back inside.
"You coward," she spat. He squared his shoulders and quickly spun to face her.
"I LOVE YOU!" he shouted.
"AND I HATE YOU!" she screamed in malice.
He lunged out towards her again and grabbed her face in his hands. He yanked her head forward and crashed his lips onto hers.
She was taken aback but as she came to, her eyebrows drew together as her hand drew back. She flung her palm forward and slapped him fiercely on the cheek. He drew back sharply, winced, and pressed his hand to his face.
"I hate you as much as I love you," He said in a coarse and deep voice.
"I used to love you," She replied honestly, "But now I despise you!"
"I feel sorry for you, Emma," He replied.
"And I abhor you," She replied, turning around and walking down the hall.
Killian narrowed his eyes and watched her figure disappear into the dark.
