A little New Year's gift to all of you guys!

Annabeth cuddled up next to Percy as the sat waiting with all the other campers on Fireworks Beach. They were counting down the last 5 minutes of the year. The Hephaestus cabin promised a great show to welcome in the new year and Annabeth didn't doubt it, judging by experience. Suddenly, all the campers looked up at the sky, startled as they heard a boom. There, already fading into the night was a giant 60 that was replaced with a boom by the number 59... and then 58... then 57...56...55...54...53...52...51...

The Fireworks exploded in bright flashes of light, the previous one barely fading before the next one exploded. Annabeth recalled all the memories of that year, the good ones and the bad ones. She remembered how Percy had disappeared and how empty the camp seemed without his sly sense of humor. Even the Hermes cabin had stopped pranking. She remembered how happy she was when she and the others had finally found him at Camp Jupiter and how they had fallen into Tartarus together. 33...32...31...30...29...28...27... She wouldn't have traded the year, despite all the bad things, for the world.

Looking up at the sky, she was just in time to see a giant 11 flash in the sky. Drawing in a breath, she shouted "TEN" along with the other campers as the giant 10 burst into the sky. "NINE...EIGHT...SEVEN...SIX... FIVE...FOUR...THREE...TWO...ONE!" As they reached the last number to welcome in the new year, the sky exploded in color as all the ancient demigods lived once again in the sky as their legends were depicted in fireworks moving so fast, they looked like a movie in the sky.

Percy turned his head to look at her. Leaning in close, he kissed her as if it was his last chance on earth. And knowing Percy, Annabeth thought, it could very well be. Pulling back, he whispered against her lips "Happy New Year, Annabeth."

I can't wait to hear what you guys think! Review!
