Hello, again. I wrote this because i'm a sucker for songfics & i decided to make one for jim from pam as a sequel to my other story. oh, also, this story takes place the day after my other story, just in case anyone wonders.
i don't own the office, the song, or the mask.
Jim was finally making it home, Mark had shown up & asked if he wanted to get a bite to eat, seeing as how Pam had to go to her mother's today, he didn't see why not.
He walked in the door at 8:00 having noticed Pam's car in the driveway. Walking in, he noticed all the lights were out, except for what he saw when he looked down.
He saw a trail of paper arrows with candles around them, not needing a rocket scientist to figure out where this was going, he followed the trail which led up the stairs to his & Pam's bedroom to the bed where, getting the hint, he lied down.
"You home?" Jim heard from down the hall.
"Yeah." Jim answered a little anxious.
He heard music start to play, from a stereo he could faintly see by the door, & he could see Pam's outline step in the doorway.
"& now, the most beautiful flower in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Miss Pam Beesly." Jim heard her say, upon which, a small spotlight displayed light on Pam, & Jim was amazed, she was wearing almost exactly the same dress Cameron Diaz wore for her song in The Mask, & dancing exactly like Cameron did in the movie, she started to sing:
Love makes me treat you the way that I do
Gee baby ain't I good to you?
there's nothing too good for a boy that's so true
gee baby, ain't I good to you?
I bought you a fur coat for Christmas, diamond ring, Cadillac car & everything
love makes me treat you the way that I do
gee baby ain't I good to you?
love makes me treat you the way that I do
gee baby, ain't I good to you?
there's nothing too good for a man, that's so true
Gee, honey, ain't I good to you?
I know how to make a good man happy
I treat you right
with lots of loving
just about every night
love makes me treat you the way that I do
gee baby, ain't I good to you?
I served you candlelight dinners & breakfast in bed
took your car to be serviced when your engine went dead
love makes me treat you the way that I do
gee baby ain't I good to you?
They got me paying taxes for what I gave to you
gee baby ain't I good to you?
The spotlight went off, & Jim applauded & whistled with a combination of joy, astonishment & arousal, to which, Pam walked back up to him & crawled up to him.
"You like?"
"Uh-huh."
"Good," Pam said before planting her lips on his & feeling his arms reach up her back.
Two hours later, they both lay in bed exhausted, their clothes strewn about the room & Jim still amazed at this whole set-up she had gotten away with.
"So, were you surprised?"
"Oh, yes."
"Good."
"You had this planned all along, didn't you, you going to your mom's, mark stopping by?"
"Mmm-hmmm, I found the dress at a costume store in New York, & in my free time, I've watched that part of the movie almost countless times in order to get the words & the dancing down just right, I know, Cameron dancing always gets you going."
Jim just blushed at this truth.
"I was originally gonna save this for your birthday, but, after, what you did yesterday, I figured I oughtta do it now, I called Mark & my mom this morning before you got up & told them I was bumping up the plan."
"Wow."
"How was my dancing? I tried to get it just like in the movie."
"Oh, it was spot on, thank you."
"You're welcome. Happy Valentine's."
"Happy Valentine's"
Jim then pulled Pam in for another kiss.
Nice again, eh? Review?
