Hey. My emo corner produced this, not sure why, though. Maybe because… I dunno.

Disclaimer- Thank GOD I don't own Naruto.

He was dead.

Not that he cared. But there was something unnerving about staring face- to- face with a dead body. Especially if it was the body of someone you knew. It was… different.

And his eyes stared at him, stared through him, into a world he would never see again.

He knew that the body wasn't him anymore, but it didn't stop him from gently closing those eyes, making him look asleep.

If you could ignore the bloodstains and bruises that marred his body.

He was dead, and no one else knew.

Uchiha Sasuke was dead, and no one else would know.

And so Hoshigaki Kisame continued on his way, sword across his back and cloak rustling in the wind.

Uchiha Sasuke was dead.

Uchiha Itachi was dead.

Uzumaki Naruto was dead.

It seemed that every interesting person he had known had met an early grave. Chuckling to himself, Kisame thanked God that it was over.

That it was all over.

There were no ninjas left, only civilians.

He had never imagined he would be the last. That he would be the last in a legacy of murderers, of thieves, of comrades and lovers and a world that had come to an end when Madara did, taking everything with him.

Perhaps that was how it was meant to be- ninjas weren't necessary in a world where civilians had weapons that could overcome jutsu, could overcome the best of the best with one final bang.

And he was glad.

Because the world could go without.

And that was all that mattered.

He was alone.

At last.

Umm… I guess I wrote this because I recently saw the first Shippuden episode on DXD and it kinda… well, it made me laugh. Because they edited out the cussing, the fighting, the Sexy no Jutsu, and a lot of cool bloodstains. Oh, well. Tell me your impressions, lovely readers, and review, review, REVIEW!
