Ron stood in the back of the bar looking for her. He knew she was supposed to be here tonight, and wanted to talk to her. He finally spotted her across the room, walking towards the bar. When he finally got enough courage to come out of hiding, he saw she was talking to a dark figure. He started walking to her, he saw her kiss the dark figure. When they finished the kiss, he saw them get up and go to the dance floor. A song came on and Ron couldn't believe how perfectly it fit his life right now.
Oh how you sparkle, and oh how you shine
The flush on your cheeks is more than the wine
And he must do something that I didn't do
Whatever he's doing, it looks good on you
You look so good in love
You want him that's easy to see
You look so good in love
I wish you still wanted me
When the dark figure finally turned around, Ron was shocked to see his old professor, Severus Snape. Snape was twirling Hermione around the dance floor and Ron had to admit that they did look good together, almost as good as he thought he looked with her.
Her eyes were glistening with happiness as she answered the question that Snape asked her.
He must have stolen some stars from the sky
And gave them to you to wear in your eyes
I had my chances, but I set you free
And now I wonder why I couldn't see
You look so good in love
You want him that's easy to see
You look so good in love
I wish you still wanted me
Ron sat down at the bar and ordered a fire whiskey. He downed all of it and ordered another. He was frustrated. How could Hermione do this to him? They were supposed to be together. He even had planned on asking for her hand in marriage. When he looked back at her, he thought…
Darlin I've wasted a lot of years not seeing the real you
But tonight your beauty is shining through
And I never took the time to let you know
So before he takes you away, please let me say
He walked up to her and, to her surprise, handed the small ring box to her. He looked her right in the eyes and said
You look so good in love
You want him that's easy to see
You look so good in love
I wish you still wanted me
He walked away without a glance back and knew he was doing what was best for her. She finally had found someone who was her intellectual equal, unlike what he would have been.
