It was cold. The Evil was out in full force tonight. The sea roared restlessly in the distance. Trees bent under the wind. Under the trees lay a hive of activity.

A man cloaked in armor that had a sheen unlike all others fought. He slashed, shot, and punched. But of all the things he did one was the most important. He ran. As if he was racing the wind, he flew across the ground.

There was something new upon the shores of this island tonight. He was going to find it. That alone drove him faster than he had ever gone. Something, anything, that might change the current situation was something he welcomed.

The wind howled louder. A storm was upon the horizon. It already affected the island. The water swirled in anticipation. The very ground seemed thrilled at the storm. He felt it as he flew through the Evil that tried, feebly, to stop him. Whether it was from the storm or the new arrival he was not certain.

Still, they were dangerous. So he flayed all who crossed him. He did not go out of his way to fight, he simply destroyed all who crossed his path. No mindless Evil would stop him from his course.

The sea grew close. His pace lessened. Wouldn't do to miss something would it?

It was close. It had to be.

'Well this is troublesome.' A man sat on the beach. His dark hair rustled in the wind. His gaze flickered out to sea. There was a rather nasty storm on the horizon and shelter was nowhere to be found. There were mountains in the distance. Perhaps he would head there?

A chill ran down his spine. A swirl of wind and a mini explosion of sand heralded the arrival of a man. The man was dressed in a cloak that blended with the night. Under the cloak was a strange armor. It looked...strange to say the least. There was a bluish tint to the metal itself but there was an unnatural sheen to all of it. In the moon light it glinted purple. Strange was the word he most often came to with this mysterious man.

His thoughts were broken by the strange man. "You look lost." the man's voice was breathy, as if excited. Interesting.

"So I am" he paused and questioned with a slight tilt to his head "Who might you be?"

The strange man stepped forward "I" a slight pause. "am Syndicate." the strange man flicked his hood down with an audible clink. The face that was revealed startled him. The features were normal enough but the coloration was difficult to get over.

Here he was, on a beach, presumably no where near where he was at his last memory. Alone save for a green man.

The green man, Syndicate, spoke again "Now, might I have your name?"

the man leaned forward as if inspecting him.

His thoughts whirled. Names were power where he was from. His was especially well known where he was from. Perhaps he ought to assume an alias.

"You may call me Captain."
