Hey! So, this is my first attempt at a) poetry and b) Blackbright. Let me know what you think!

Disclaimer: Obviously, I own nothing.

Justice was a lie

He knew that as well as anyone else

It did nothing

Good

Bad

Nothing

There was an installation of fear

The only emotion in a trial

Out

Get out

It wasn't you who deserved to be put down like a dog

Disgusting

Though she smiled, it was fruitless

Damning

Her mother was dancing in the clouds

His friend held the stars in his eyes

And the condemned man walked in chains

So many chains

With each wrongdoing came another

Constricting humanity until it bled

There was no justice

No justice for the young girl who lost her family

No justice for young man who lost his partner

No justice for the devil himself

Who cried and curled in his own personal hell

No justice for the man who smiled

Who believed in him

Who knew it for the entirety

Whose silken hands still burned marks in his snow light skin

Presence marked forever in the throes of passion

Heated touches

Twisting words

Trusts and falls

Aching hearts now bleeding out on the floor

The harsh vengeance of his sword declared

What was once bright was now dark

And the darkness broke free to shine again

And it hurt no less

Simon Blackquill vowed to never love him

Yet the beast claimed him for himself

Damnation

What a fool he was

What a fool they had been

No longer was there the stimulating bite of metal around his wrists

Liberated wings spread

Open to fly about was they wished

But Brutus brought him to his knees

Face after face of the gemini revealed

The joy could not be drawn from him

For the lips of chastity had long since traveled downward

Bubbling away in its essence

The tint in the night

Low rumbles and cries

For naught

He may have been a free man

But he had never bore more chains

Soo, what do you think? If there's anything that needs explaining, just ask. Remember, reviews are love :)
