A/N: I took a small break from my other story to write this oneshot for you. Hope you enjoy it! PLEASE, nice and instructive critism only! I hate Negative Nelly's. Anyway, enjoy! :)
Ginny twiddled with her wedding ring as she stood on her deck at the back of the house. She had tears staining her cheeks and her hair was a mess from the wind that had blown. That ring meant everything to her. It was his way of saying I love you more than anything. She knew he did. She knew he wouldn't leave without saying goodbye. But every time she got an owl saying that her husband was missing in action or that he was gravely injured, she couldn't help but cry. Cry because the last dinner she made, could be the last one she'll make for him. Cry because her last kiss with him could be the last time she feels his lips to hers. Cry because of all the times she called him a stubborn arse were wasteful. Cry because he could be dead… No. She couldn't think like that. He was the strongest man she ever knew. The man that stuck to every promise he ever made. He was the reason for the baby boy that was sleeping in the nursery. He was the reason she woke up every morning. The thoughts started to attack her mind and leave a cold feeling in her chest. It had only been three days since she got that letter saying he was missing. Maybe that's why they call it an Auror mission.
She stared at gorgeous view her property provided her. The trees that surrounded her house covered up the sun. The sky was a wistful orange and pink fading into a navy blue of the night. Opposite of the sun was the beautiful moon. The moon that rose every night to show that there is still hope for everyone. Tears started to stream down her face again. She couldn't help but have doubtful thoughts that the love of her life would ever return. She stood there, leaning up against the railing, crying. But everyone knew that she was the one that never cried. Ever. Why would she be crying now? But then, a pair of warm hands touched her waist and made her jump. She turned around to see a pair of green eyes that she said 'I do' to not even four years ago. She quickly grabbed the man and pulled him into her embrace.
"Harry!" Ginny cried into his shoulder.
"I'm sorry, Gin." He said back with his arms wrapped tightly around her. She sniffled back her tears. She couldn't let him see her weak.
"Don't be sorry. I missed you." She said running her hand through his hair. He pulled back to look at her but didn't let go of her waste.
"Me too, Gin. Me too…"
