Kougyoku swears Hakuryuu and Alibaba are the cutest couple on campus. They're not just boyfriends, but they're also best friends. They talk about the most insignificant things together, they hang out together, they joke and tease and laugh. And they don't mind being apart, because they know a day or week without seeing each other face to face isn't going to weaken their relationship. They don't need constant kisses or whispered 'I love you's to show their affection, they don't need to flaunt their relationship to make sure it's real.
It's in the lingering touches, the laughter and joy, the way their eyes meet and they don't need reassurance to know they love each other. Their bond is strong, and Kougyoku can only dream that one day she, as well, will find someone of her own. But for now, she's content in observing her cousin and the blonde idiot.
There are little things they do that seem to just complement them so well, things she doesn't think they notice. Like the shirt Hakuryuu is wearing, that's just a bit too loose and bright to be something he owns, the shirt Kougyoku saw Alibaba wearing last week that looks much cuter on Hakuryuu. Or that Alibaba comes running to Hakuryuu before his Law course practically every day, And Hakuryuu hands him the textbook or essay he forgot in their dorm without even batting an eye.
The favourite things Kougyoku notices, however, are the little red bruises she notices when Hakuryuu's shirt collar dips just a bit lower, and the matching ones on Alibaba's neck. And she can't help but giggle, and they look at her in confusion.
