Arithmancy

Hermione had gotten the idea in her head that Harry and Ron needed to learn Arithmacy and had taken to teaching them in the Common Room every night.

They quickly discovered that the subject was incredibly difficult. They continued only to make Hermione happy.

"Hermione," Ron complained, "you know that I have the memory of a goldfish!"

"Your memory isn't that mad," Hermione countered. "Your memory is more like a blunt knife, you'll get better if you bother to use it more often."

"More like an empty wallet that had a hole at the bottom. None of this ever actually sticks in my mind!" Ron had muttered to Harry once Hermione had turned around.

Harry only gave him a tired smile. He was only able to understand a little bit more than Ron was. It was interesting but something for someone with Hemione's intelligence.

He reached for the packet of Jellyslugs, one of Honeydukes' newest sweets, hoping it would give him a bit of energy.

They still had about half an hour left.
