Ichigo rarely visited Ishida these days. It wasn't that the Quincy didn't welcome him when he did; but he was always busy. Ichigo didn't hold it against Ishida and was even vaguely envious of his new job on some level, and simply remembered to bring Ishida his favourite food each time and some sewing materials as gifts to occupy him in whatever little spare time he had.
Chad took an abiding concern in Ishida's health, but the Quincy seemed to wax with health and vitality each time they met, and the gentle giant eventually resigned himself to the realisation that Ishida's constantly sombre appearance was just a farce and that he really, really was the happiest man in the world now.
Whenever they turned up at the Quincy's doorstep, Urahara and Tessai would present to him their latest useful inventions and depart quickly, with evil grins plastered on their faces.
Hanatarou was shocked at the number of stimulant pills he had to deliver to Ishida's room each time; though given his workload, it was hardly an overdose.
Both Renji and Kon first reacted to Ishida's new job by going into mad, incoherent screaming fits of horror. Other shinigami simply smiled to themselves in satisfaction, knowing that the world was now a better place, and kept Unohana supplied with whatever materials she required.
The vaizard tried many ways and means to involve themselves in the affair, with limited success.
And Unohana-taicho worked hard daily to coordinate Rukia's, Orihime's, Nanao's, Hinamori's, Soifon's, Yoruichi's, Isane's, Kiyone's, Rangiku's, Tatsuki's, Chizuru's and Kukkaku's schedules; not to mention her own. Plans were already in place for Ururu and Yachiru in the future. After all, repopulating the world with Quincy was never going to be an easy task.
