Ingredient One: Peppermint

A blinding white light escaped the windows of the Divination class room in a flash as fog filled the room while screams and shouts echoed off the walls. Professor Trelawney stood from her place behind her desk and with a small wave of her wand vanished the fog. Against the far wall, Harry was leaned back in his seat gasping air.

Across the table, Ron looked to Harry with wide eyes, "What the bloody hell was that?" With a shrug, Harry continued to try to catch his breath as he sat his plain white tea cup on the desk in front of him. Trelawney walked over with a tilted step with a questioning air about her.

"Is everything alright Mr. Potter?" She asked, her eyes blinking rapidly behind her large glasses. Harry just gave her a slight smile and a nod in an effort to stave her off. When she leaned forward and picked up his glass, Harry tried to grab it back but she stepped out of his reach.

As she looked into the glass, her cheeks became quite red before she sat the cup back down quickly. Without a word, she simply turned and went back to her desk; much to the curiosity of his classmates. Ron sighed as he waved off the rest of the class while giving Harry a look, "I told you that you shouldn't have done that. It was from bloody Malfoy."

Harry nodded with a barely contained smile, "Yea it was. It wasn't that bad." With a look of worry, Ron just let Harry be before turning back to their assignment. The sound of his own heartbeat rushed through Harry's ears as he tried to calm himself down. He had never felt this before. This sense of peace, of happiness, of calm, of excitement.

As he looked across the room to where Malfoy sat, dark gray eyes met his. The boy gave him a short smirk before glancing back to where his friends were asking him a question. Harry just grinned to himself; reminding himself to ask Malfoy why the potion tasted of peppermint later.
