Logan could hear Kendall talking to someone but he didn't know who. He was sitting in the living while this supposed conversation was going on in the other room. Logan got up from the orange couch to see what was going on. However as he was walking down the hall a man appeared. The man disappeared as quickly as he came, running back onto the room. Logan then ran quickly towards where the man was.
In the room Kendall was tied to a chair and another man had a gun to his head. Logan felt his heart drop at what was happening. The gun shot at Kendall and he fell to the ground. The man then fired his gun at Logan.
That was when Logan woke up. His face covered in sweat and breathing heavy, fighting off the urge to scream. It took him a minute to assess his surroundings. He was in his bed in his room, the only light is the glow from his alarm clock. Then he remembered, Kendall! He wrapped his blanket around his shoulders and walked to the room where Kendall slept, his anxiety and heart beat increasing with each step. He opened the door to see his light haired friend asleep. Logan walked closer to his bed, watching Kendall's chest rise and fall made him feel a little better.
Kendall then started to wake up when he felt the bed shake as Logan sat beside him. Kendall's eyes fluttered open, the first thing he saw was Logan's frightened face looking at his.
"Is everything okay Logan?" Kendall asked in a groggy voice. He knew something was wrong instantly.
Logan looked at him for a second, then laid his head down on his older friends chest. Kendall didn't ask what his friend was doing, he knew Logan had a nightmare. He just ran his hand through the younger boys hair as he cried in his chest. When Logan cried Kendall thought it was the saddest thing. When Logan cried there was never much sound, he would shake and occasionally he would let out a sniffle or a hiccup. However, those simple sounds were so child like and sad sounding it could break anyone's heart.
"What happened Logie?"
Logan took a few deep breathes then explained the dream, it took him a little longer to explain because the thought of Kendall dying caused him to cry more.
"Aw, Buddy." Kendall nuzzled his cheek on the top of Logan's hair. "It's okay and so am I. No one is here and no one is going to hurt us. We're safe in the apartment."
"I know, but.." Logan tried to fight back tears. "it felt so real." He buried his face back into his older friends chest. It did make him feel more comforted to listen to Kendall's steady heartbeat.
"I know Logie, but everything is alright, okay?"
Logan took Kendall's word and nodded his head against his chest. Kendall then whipped away his baby brother's remaining tears with his thumb.
"Can I sleep with you?" Logan asked, turning a bright red.
Kendall had to resist awing over his little brother. "Of course you can."
Kendall then wrapped his arms more protectively as Logan snuggled closer to him. Logan than began to cry a little more. Kendall thought of an idea to get his little brother to sleep peacefully. He then began to sing.
Young and full of running love is really nothing don't say a word I want you so bad I'll go back on the things I believe so young and full of running
tell me where is that taking me?
just a great figure eight
or a tiny infinity?
but a dream that keeps waking me
for all of my trying
we still end up dying
how can it be?
just come over and lie here with me
'cause I'm just about to set fire to everything I see
there I just said it
I'm scared you'll forget about me
all the way
steady my breathing
silently screaming
I have to have you now...
The end.
