One day Aiden was riding around with his parent's fortune in the forbidden forest. He was on his way to buy some melk for his parents and he was supposed to bring back the change of his family's fortune. But Aidens old nemesis, gambling, had other ideas. After stopping to use the restoom Aiden met a garly troll who said in a devilish voice "there's a big gambling game going on inside a house behind the sacred tree"
The hair on Aidens neck stood up and his mind said no go home but his feet and legs had other ideas and walked him to the gambling game with his parents fortune in his pockets.
He walked through the woods a nd finally he knocked on the door of the house and a scratchy voice from within said "come in" so he went inside and saw a gambling game and the same scratchy voice said "What's your name?" Aiden said in a pensive voice, "Aiden."
Aiden stared stared at the old man with beard and round glasses and said "what are you doing at that table with all those men?" And the old man whose name was Faris as Aiden would discover later, replied "we're playing a gambling game, would you like to join us?"
Aiden replied "I wish I could but I don't have any money, do you mind if I sit down and rest for a while? I'm tired from carrying around my family's fortune all day."
Faris's eyes turned into dollar signs and he got a big cheesy grin on his face and said "maybe you could use your parents fortune to play?" "That sounds cool, good idea!" Then Aiden sat down and began to play the gambling game.
After a while he looked at one of the other gambling game players and said "You look like Prince Nalu, but with red hair! Do you know him?" And the stranger laughed a hearty laugh for 14 seconds then said no. Aiden said "Are you sure? Because you really look like him. Seriously! Like really." The stranger furrowed his brow and this time replied more firmly "No, not me." They played the gambling game for a while and pretty soon Aiden watched through the smoke-filled air as the old man called Faris took all his family fortune.
Aiden said "That's my family's fortune!" He exclaimed.
Faris laughed callously and said "yes but that's the risk of playing the gambling game, and you lost." He was laughing still as Aiden slinked out with an empty sack and a small tear in his deep blue left eye.
Aiden rode back home for 6 days trying to figure out how to tell his family about losing his family's fortune. By the time he got home he had concocted a story about a troll and a band of trained raccoons who had ambushed him and stole his family's fortune. But when he got home and witnessed his noble dad working hard in his shop quietly singing his favorite song to himself "I love you Aiden" he couldn't bring himself to tell the story about racoons and instead turned to go back and live in the hidden forest forever. Not knowing that he would soon encounter a princess, a winged unicorn, and a polar bear who loves sparkles.
"Well," he said, defeated, "at least I have my melk" He takes a swig without realizing it's 6 days old and has now gone sour. As he rides towards the forbidden forest he spits out the melk and says "Just my luck, sour."
The End.
