Red washed over his vision as he glared at her through eyes that had once been an innocent sky blue. Before him stood a beautiful brunette who seemed to be deeply hurt as she pleaded unsuccessfully to him while desperate tears ran continuously down her delicate features. "I don't know you anymore!" she was choking out in between her broken sobs. This would have once melted his heart completely, but now the very image of her would pierce a thousand sharp needles into his heart, causing his pupils to dilate dramatically, and shaking him with uncontrollable hurt and anger. She has betrayed him, lied to him, and still dared to claim that she loved him. "LIAR!" he roared at the cowering woman. Love was weak, he thought to himself. He had been hurt repeatedly every time he was foolish enough to love someone. First it was his mother, who died in his arms as he watched in agony, knowing that if it wasn't for his former master holding him back from gaining his rightful powers, he could have saved her. And now, the woman he had loved so dearly was turning against him along with the rest of the jedi. They shall pay dearly for this. He thought, as his fists clenched so tightly that blood began to pour.

Suddenly, he unclenched his fists, and a feeling so foreign flowed into him that even he himself was a little surprised. His eyes became even wilder looking than before, as he realized what he was experiencing; anger and hatred so cold to the point that it could reach insanity, the feeling of darkness, of no emotion, of evil. A twisted smile formed on his lips, as he laughed at the man he was before, a weak follower, a person who gave without any thought for reward, a fool; a fool who loved so deeply only to be repaid by losing everything in the end. No, I am better than this. And as this last thought passed his mind, his former wife saw the evil in his eyes, and realized as her heart shattered into a million pieces that the man she had once loved was dead, consumed into darkness by an agent of evil. Yet her time had come too, she knew, as the murderer of her husband wrapped his hand around her throat. She tried to cry out, to say she was sorry, but soon her vision blacked out from the image of Darth Vader.
