Disclaimer: I don't own Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja.

Author's note: This is the first story that I've posted so please review to give me some feedback on how I can improve the story. Thank you:)

Chapter 1: Renegade

Skateboard wheels rattled. A blur of black, green and red flew down the hallway of Norrisville High. Anyone who was passing by had to jump out of the way to avoid the blur. If one were fast enough to catch a glimpse, it was actually the newest student of Norrisville High.

Principal Slimovitz had papers blown out of his hands from the passing skateboarder.

"No skateboards in school! That's breaking the school rules!" He yelled, waving his fist furiously.

The skateboarder screeched to a stop, wheels scratching the tiles. Her dark green sneakers squeaked as one of them was placed on the floor.

"Really?"

"Yes, Miss Valentine! I thought I clearly explained that this morning. Now, that skateboard is confiscated!" He demanded, stalking over to her.

"And if I don't hand it over?"

Slimovitz's jaw almost dropped at her defiant and apathetic demeanour but he regained his cool to reprimand her.

"Alright, look here Missy. Even if it is your first day of school here, I won't overlook you blatantly breaking school rules and being defiant to an authoritative figure..."

Blue eyes stared at him listlessly as he rambled on until he finally pulled out a detention slip and scribbled on it. She tuned back in to hear the last part of his little speech.

"So, I'm going to be lenient to you and give you detention for a week only," He handed over the slip.

"Sure, but you're still not getting my skateboard," She said, grabbing the slip of paper.

"Now, Miss Valentine-"

The girl interrupted him," If you can't catch me, you can't get my skateboard."

She propelled herself forward and raced as fast as she could away from the screaming principal.

"Miss Casey Valentine!"

She continued speeding down the hall, deftly avoiding people walking around but an unfortunate few had to jump away if she was too slow. The grey hoodie that was tied around her waist flailed in the wind and her dark green beanie almost flew off her short black hair.

Casey Valentine was pretty much on top of the world right now. Her old friends and school left far behind her as she moved to this town. She didn't need the past if she had a future to look to. That was all she thought about as her skateboard rolled towards a junction.

It was a split second and all thoughts were thrown out the window. Her blue eyes widened as a purple haired boy walked out of the corner. She was headed straight for him.

"Move!"

Her skateboard stopped in time but the sudden jerk threw her off and she collided with the boy. Everyone who witnessed the accident winced because of the loud crash it caused.

"Ow..."The boy groaned.

She sat up and practically growled at him," I told you to move."

"Me?" He asked disbelievingly," What the juice?! You're the one with the skateboard! I mean who rides skateboards in the halls!"

"Cunningham...lunch starts in 15 more seconds! So, could you hurry it up?!" His friend pulled out a pocket watch.

She moved her piercing glare over to the orange haired boy then rolled her eyes, "Whatever."

Her hands gripped the boy's hoodie and pulled him up," Whoa!"

"Quit whining," She said as she snatched her skateboard and walked off, eyes following her as she did.

"That was totally wonk," The purple haired boy huffed as he dusted himself off.

"Yeah, as much as I would love to hear more about her, we have lunch," The heavy set boy gestured to the cafeteria," You know the time of day to I don't know...eat!"

"Ok, ok! Geez, let's go," Randy said.

Casey walked down the hallway lazily. After the fiasco with Purple Hair, she decided to skip lunch altogether and explore the school. It was a pretty good time to be doing it too since everyone was at lunch. The newest student of Norrisville High entered the main lobby. The first thing that caught her eye was the mosaic of the Carp.

She whistled in awe, "Nice..."

She looked around the empty lobby absent-mindedly and stared up at the skylight.

"Restart. Game level: Norrisville High, "She sighed,"I hope the difficulty isn't in nightmare mode again..."

Suddenly, the doors burst open. A few students rushed in, screaming in terror. Then, came the terror inducer, a large green monster that resembled a T-rex barged into the lobby.

"What the...?!" Casey dropped her skateboard to ride away from the monster.

A monster. What? Why? How? Did I teleport into a video game? Would be fun, if I actually had a sword to fight with or skills set or high strength and agility stats.

An ear-shattering shriek snapped Casey back into reality. A brown haired girl had been grabbed by the monster. I have to do something.

"But the monster's too tall. I can't do anything at this height," She looked around for anything useful and her eyes landed on the large staircase," Unless I get a boost."

She smirked as she climbed the main staircase of the lobby. It was fairly tall so she could use it to launch herself at the monster using her skateboard.

"Ninja! Help me!" The girl screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Rather than a ninja," Casey whistled to get the creature's attention and took in a deep breathe," Let's hope this works."

The black haired girl rode her skateboard down the railing of the staircase and launched herself off. The creature turned just in time to get its face skateboard slammed by Casey.

"Ninja Kick!"

A blur of black and red had kicked the green monster aside and saved the girl. The skateboarder was amazed by it because one, he just kicked a monster aside like it was made of paper mâché and two, he dressed like a ninja. A ninja. She didn't have enough time to register anything properly but did get her balance completely thrown off. This resulted in a face plant on the school floors and her skateboard to do a 180 on its own.

The ninja winced as he set the brown haired girl down," Ooh, that has got to hurt."

"It did hurt," Casey stood up slowly, holding her head in pain.

"Watch out!" The ninja shouted.

A sweeping green tail was headed straight for her but she reacted fast, kicking up her skateboard. She used it to strike its tail.

"Whoa," He blinked in surprise.

"Ow!" She yelped as her skateboard clattered to the floor, her hands injured from the impact of the tail.

However, even with her direct hit, it was only slightly thrown off and went in for another hit. She was about to jump away until she got picked up from the floor and placed on the second floor of the lobby.

"Ninja save!"

"Hey, I could handle it!" She snapped.

"Really?" The ninja asked incredulously, "I just saved you from getting flattened by a monster tail and you're angry at me for it?"

"I was gonna dodge before you saved me. Plus, I was about to smack Ugly's face with my board until you kicked it away," She replied, less angry but still irritated. He was about to retort but the piercing roar interrupted him.

"Oh, boy." With that, he sprinted off.

"Ninjas. Monsters. It's probably not as bad as nightmare mode," Casey said as she watched the ninja battle it out with the monster.

"Ninja!" The same brown haired girl screamed for help as she ran from the monster that was still pursuing her even when she ran outside.

"Ninja tripping balls!" He threw a few balls at the creature's feet which made it fall.

"Why is she so angry with you?" He asked as he put the girl on higher ground.

"I was tutoring Stevens in Maths and apparently Flute girl lost her cheese when she found out! Like come on, I don't even like him," The girl replied.

"Stevens again! Ugh, he is such a tomcat," He rolled his eyes and saw Stevens nearby, hiding behind a trash can.

The stanked Flute girl then ran after the ninja who dodged her attack. He found Trombone Stevens and grabbed the notes he was holding in his hands. Throwing them up, he took his sword and sliced them in half.

"Ninja Note Slice!"

"Hey! My Math Notes!" The formerly endangered girl yelled in anger.

The monster shrunk back into Flute girl who held her head in dizziness. The green stank seeping back in to the vents, only to remind the sorcerer that he had failed once again.

"You're all okay right? So…" He looked around and nodded in satisfaction,"Smokebomb!"

He threw a ball on the floor and a smoke engulfed him. When it dissipated, he was gone.

Casey's mouth hung open," D-Did the monster turn into a girl...? What is up with this school?"

She walked over to pick up her fallen board," But I think this is still better than nightmare mode though..."

Author's note: So, I hope you liked what I have so far. Just for your information, Casey's not going to be a ninja or anything. She's more of someone who's brave and has strong sense of justice, I would say. So, she fights to protect others. Again, please give me some feedback as to how I can improve! Thank you! :)
