Lucy sat in a wooden rocking chair on the front pouch. Listening, watching and waiting for Shane and Otis to return from the local High School.
Her group leader Rick Grimes son Carl is on his death bed at this very moment. Carl got shot by Otis who was aiming at a deer and didn't even see the little boy trying to pet the wild deer.
Shane and Otis are getting medical supplies from the High School so this man Hershel can operate on Carl.
Lucy arrived with Glenn and T-Dog from the huge pile up on the high way. Dale, Carol, Daryl and Andrea stayed be hide to look for Carol daughter Sophia, who was chased into the woods by two walkers from the huge heard that pasted through.
Glenn and herself brought T-Dog here so he could get his huge cut on his forearm stitched up.
This brings Lucy to this moment. Sitting in a rocking chair with her legs close to her chest and her arms wrapped around them.
Headlights popped up in the distance.
Her heart skipped a beat.
Shane was back.
Lucy got up and quickly walked into the house looking for Rick. She entered the room where Carl is in, Lori and Rick were on ether side of their son in the bed. Rick looked at Lucy's face and she nodded. He got up, called for Hershel and headed pass Lucy to the front door to meet up with Shane and Otis.
When Rick walked outside Shane had the supplies and was lipping towards the house. Otis was nowhere to be seen. Rick took the bag from Shane and looked at him without saying any words. The two men understood and with that Rick rushed back into the house as Lucy stepped back out onto the pouch.
Shane and Lucy locked gazes as she walked down the stair and across the lawn to him.
"I did the best I could."
He said looking at his feet then back to Lucy.
"I know you did. We all know."
She said wrapping her arms around the former police officer. Shane hugged the small Alaskan woman back.
"Wanna walk with me?"
"Shane, your ankle."
"I just need to walk it off. Don't worry."
Lucy agreed and the pair silently walked into the fields of the Green's farm.
They walked in silent till Shane broke it when they were near a huge ock tree.
"Were you worried?"
Lucy nodded, still not specking.
"Well I was too."
"About Carl."
"Yeah but also I was worried I'd never see you again."
She laughed at him as she walked. This made Shane stop in his tracks and look at her like she was crazy.
"Right, big ol' Shane would miss little ol' me."
Lucy said making fun of fun of his southern accent.
Shane grabbed her hand and pulled her into his chest.
"I would miss you. I mean it."
Shane now had a good look at Lucy. She wore a V-neck deep purple shirt with no tang top underneath, Daisy Duke shorts, her brown cowgirl boots, and her bowie knife was hooked to one of her belt loops. Her blonde hair turned white from the moonlight.
Lucy looked up at the big man who she has had a crush on ever since she has join the group three months ago.
"If you haven't noticed Lucy, I care about you. More than any other woman I've been with. Even Lori."
Lucy was dumbfounded. She had liked Shane even when he was sneaking around with Lori. Who she hates because she had Shane.
"I care about you too."
"So what are we goin-"
She already knew what she was going to do.
She pulled on Shane's collar and brought her lips to his.
When they pulled apart she was breathless.
"I've been wanting to do that forever."
Shane laughed, then lightly pushed her to the grassy ground, when she was flat on her back he got on top of her and whispered in her ear.
"I'm gonna make you mine."
Lucy giggled and gave him two simple answers.
She removed her shirt then grabbed his collar again and gave him the most passionate and rough kiss she could muster.
