*I do not own NCIS.

"Wow, I thought I'd die before-"

Tony DiNozzo woke up in a cold sweat, the memory of Katelyn Todd's death still haunting him. He should have gotten over this. After all, it was ten years ago. He was happily married to Ziva, and they had two children. He couldn't keep dwelling on this.

But he was still plagued with guilt. There must have been something he could have done, but the bullet was too fast. There was no way of knowing that Ari was on that rooftop.

"Tony?" Ziva asked, half-awake.

"Yeah?" Tony grunted.

"Why are you up and panting like a hog?"

"Dog."

"What?"

"Panting like a dog, not a hog. Anyway, just had a bad dream, that's all."

"Was it another one about Katelyn?"

Tony hesitated before answering, "….Yeah."

"It has been ten years since she died, Tony. You cannot still be blaming yourself for this."

"I know, but it was my fault…"

"It was not. And besides, it was fate. Had Katelyn not died, we would never have met."

"I suppose that's true…. I just needed a moment."

"Okay, darling. Good night."

"Night."

I had intended this being a one-shot, but maybe I should continue. Should I? Let me know in reviews!
