Thistlepaw leaped through a bush and onto the small vole she had found. She easily finished it off and ate it in a few famished bites. She came upon a river where she stared into the water, at her own reflection. She sighed as flashbacks of her previous life raced through her mind.
She lowered her head in sadness as she backed away from the river. She pondered whether she had made the right decision, running away from the clans. Her head drooped lower as she began to remember all the mistakes she had made. So many mistakes.
She let out a long, distressed sigh when she began to think about how much trouble her mistakes had brought upon the clan. She wished she knew if she had done the right thing.
Then she padded back to the river and lapped up some water until she had that thought again. This thought seldom crossed her mind, but she knew she had to figure out a definite answer.
She sat down in thought. Should she return to her clan, or should she stay here, away from the clans? She stared into the river, at her reflection, deep in thought. Her eyes lit up a bit when she knew she had decided on an answer.
her expression straightened in determination as she thought about her choice more. She had decided to return to the clans again. With this new hope flowing through her, she got up and began to pad away, towards the clans where she hoped to make things right again.
