4 Songs Sara Never Really Liked(Until Greg Showed Up) And 1 She Hated.
Disclaimer: I do not own CSI any of it's characters, nor songs by The Beatles, Marilyn Manson, Bon Jovi, Paris Hilton and Frank Sinatra.
A/N: Was wandering around LJ and came across this community, 5drabbles, found it really interesting, was really bored, decided to do it, and taadaa! I'm just a little over on the word limit for the last 2.
1.
Her face was one of skepticism as he popped Manson into the CD player of the car. She braced herself for a headache.
"Relax, Sar'. Just one song. You'll like it, I'm sure." He fiddled with the buttons and stopped at track 5, his favorite. Giving her an encouraging smile, he turned back to face the road again. It was their rule, the person who drove got to choose the songs.
After a few guitar riffs and screaming she started nodding her head to the music. It wasn't that bad, she mused.
In a loud, uncivilized way.
2.
She reached the locker room after shift to see Greg lacing up his sneakers, singing under his breath. She took a seat beside him and plucked out one of his ear plugs, fitting them in her own ear.
Sexy Sadie, oh, you'll get yours yet.
She raised a brow, "The Beatles?"
He nodded, taking her hand in his, "Just a smile would lighten everything," he sang, " Sexy Sara, the greatest of them all."
She laughed and he grinned impishly.
From then on, Sara would make Greg sing that last line whenever she heard that song.
3.
She unlocked the door to her apartment to find candles, Chinese takeout, and Greg. She dropped her bag as he pulled her into his arms, and kissed the top of her head. He pulled back and stretched out a hand, bowing a little, asking for a dance. She smiled and gave him hers. Soon they were slow dancing in the living room to soft music emitting from her stereo.
"Greg?" She mumbled against his chest.
"Mm?"
"What are we listening to?"
"Sinatra, my dear."
He hummed a little and dropped a kiss on her shoulder.
"I quite like it."
4.
"Sara! No! Leave it on!"
Her eyes widened, "You are not kidding me, you want to watch Paris Hilton prance around in her undergarments?"
He nodded, fixated on the tv.
She rolled her eyes. "You're just ogling."
He shook his head and looked up at her. "I really do like the song! It's nice in a weird sorta way," he said. "Must be the singing," he added as an afterthought as he turned back to the tv. Greg patted the empty space on the couch, motioning for her sit down, eyes never once leaving the screen. She slumped down and joined him.
After awhile she turned to face him. "You seriously like it."
"Mmhmm."
"...It's disturbing."
5.
Sara never really listened to Bon Jovi, she always thought their songs were too cheesy for her liking. She changed her mind however, when Greg went up on stage during their wedding and sang one of their sappiest songs yet.
He did a perfect rendition of All About Lovin' You with such emotion Sara nearly melted.
She found herself tearing during the chorus and hastily wiped them away with the back of her hand. Once he finished singing, she ran up on stage and hugged him so tightly he almost couldn't breathe.
It quickly became her favorite song of all times.
End.
