Disclaimer: I do not own Matantei Loki Ragnarok. This poem is about the Trickster and his two most well-know sons – the line "everything changes, but nothing is lost" is taken from the comic Sandman, by Neil Gaiman.
Hourglass
Lord of serpents, subtle lies
Dancing in your twilight eyes
Cast from sky to freezing sea
Learning now how to be free.
Hope, that springs from every soul
Mends the rift and leaves you whole.
Elder paths too seldom crossed -
For all shall change. But nothing's lost.
OOO
Locked into a shell of rage
And ancient lies. Crammed in a cage
They offered you as sacrifice.
They left you bare before the ice.
The moon shall dance across the sky
To cleave the chain and fool the eye-
But still you must learn freedom's cost
For all things change. But nothing's lost.
OOO
Shadow in inferno's blaze
Old beyond the count of days.
Crimson intertwined with green
Hidden secrets never seen.
For now the skein is winding fast
But at whose hand? The die is cast.
Fiercest flame from chilling frost -
All shall change. But nothing's lost.
