Star Struck
Why. Of all of the guys in the world, did I have to fall for Edward Cullen. I could basically have any boy I wanted, but apparently that wasn't good enough. I wanted the forbidden one, the one that I could never have, and the one that I wanted more than anything else in the world.
The reasons why I couldn't have him were long and complicated, but I will attempt to explain them to you simply.
The first was that I was Isabella Swan, the golden, 16 year old never-done-a-bad-thing-in-my-life Disney singer/actress. Loved and worshipped by many young girls. I was their role model.
The second was that Edward Cullen was the 20 year old bad boy. He was a famous actor/singer that had a reputation for being a heartbreaking player. The press was all over him about two months ago for a scandal involving two British models. And if that wasn't bad enough, he also had a reputation for getting drunk at parties and making a fool of himself. The press were constantly hovering over him to see how he would humiliate himself next.
So you see, we could never be together. First off, I wasn't even sure if it was legal for us to be together with him being 20, and me being 16. But that was only four years. I mean, if a freshman and a senior could be together, why couldn't we? Also, think how it would look. "Disney Princess falls for Drunk player" or something stupid like that. My career as a Disney girl would be over, shattered and forever in pieces.
Would one boy, one amazing, heartbreaking, weak in the knees boy, be worth all of that? The answer scared me the most because I knew in my heart that it was
yes.
