It's been months since I've last seen Paya. I longed for him everynight that I was in 'hibernation' as I'll'ika called it. Now, my freedom has been returned, and I find my body urging me to find him, or another male of my species, as mating season draws closer and closer. Last time, I found myself without mate or permanent home to settle.
I'll'ika was always foolish. I can't really blame her. Its not her fault that parts of her brain stopped matureing when she was younger. Hibernation is what she called our time in the Laboratories. Two men, Landon and Lazzarous, created I'll'ika, made her what she is today. They had abandoned their lab, and I'll'ika took refuge in its underground walls repeatedly. Even I had stayed with her there, helping her raise her two children.
Everything was fine, except Lazzarous returned to the labs. There he found me and I'll'ika sleeping. He took us all and threw us in cages, seperating I'll'ika from the last thing that kept her sane. Everyday I watched my poor friends mind deteriorate a little more. That whole time, all they did was experiment, mostly with I'll'ika and her children. They studied my reactions, my blood, my sences. I just let them. I had given up.
I thought it was all over. I had lost Paya, and my hunt for Zero was going in circles. One day Lazzarous had a heart attack, and I'll'ika just barely managed to free us all. She was always flexible, and intelligant. That was the way she was made though.
I'll probably never see another like I'll'ika, and she prays another of her kind will ever be created, unnaturally of corse. When she was barely even eight in human years, Landon and Lazzarous took her from her family. They killed her mother and father before her eyes and left their corpses lieing there, her sister drowning in her own blood. When they had starved her for days, then finally strapped her to a table, and injected her with DNA from an Xenomorph and blood from myself.
The first thing I did as soon as I got out , besides grab my gear, was blow up that damn place. All it did was cause evil, and it would only cause more if Landon was alive. Down in the lowest basement, I guess that's where they did all of the genetic experiments. There were glass spheres with babies in the bottem, their bodies preserved. I despised the sick fucks that did this. Hey, at least the nucleur computer in there made a nice boom.
I'll'ika and I relaxed for a few days. It seemed like weeks. The days passed slowly, and we slept the nights away. Everymorning we would dive in the nearby river, and hunt together. I spotted, and I'll'ika, using her excellent stealth and sharp claws, was the perfect hunter. We feasted on fresh meat everynight. Soon, our hearts both needed more. I'll'ika was driven to find Thei-de, and I still longed for Paya.
I'll'ika and I seperated. She took her children with her. It was sad watching them go. It seemed like the grass wilted behind them as they left.
