Eyes observed each ripple vigilantly. Watching them slowly curl over and collapse under their own weight, waves slowly growing from the center of the small fountain. Of course, the overgrown puddle hadn't always sat there in the middle of the church; it was only until his last visit that it had formed. It was somewhat amusing, the monotonous swirls each as generic as the last. But the ripples weren't at all his main concern. They were only seen through the corner of his eyes, which were more than anything staring out into the distant nothing, seeing things that weren't there.

The silence was all he needed at the moment, a break from the strained reality that was his life. He just wanted to breathe in the subtle aroma of the budding tulips, and sway in thought along with the rhythm of the ongoing waves. There was so much to sort out at the moment that it would have been nearly impossible with both Marlene and Denzel jumping wildly around his shoulders. Lips curled up at the thought of their smiling faces and bright, expectant eyes, a faint smile growing for a shortened second. But that was only half of it. Of course, being Cloud Strife, there was only a mild possibility of complete happiness...At least that's what he lead himself to believe.

... ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ... ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. ….. …..

It wasn't planned on. Of course, neither are many things in life such as the finding of Denzel or the unexpected visit from the three Silver Haired men. But as I laid there, fingertips brushing his elongated, slumbering face, I wouldn't have had it any other way.

It started out small. One kiss. One second of our brushing faces was all it took. But once again, like most things, it doesn't take much to get started. One gust of wind to rustle a tree, one tilt of a glass to spill milk on a counter, one swing of a blade to end a life. And although some more graphic and life-changing than the others, it was all the same. Like ours. One kiss to ignite a long forgotten spark. Long forgotten or just dormant. Either way I couldn't care less, the fact that Cloud Strife. Let me say that once more for the pure joy of things. Cloud strife, had spent an entire night with me had just been amazing. And so was he.

But let's get back on track now, shall we?

Like I was saying. It started small and almost nonexistant. He walked me to my room as always. And like always we both akwardly said our goodnights. But it was diferent this time, he didn't retreat to his own cave of a room like he always would. For some reason --and I thank the gods for whatever it might have been-- he decided to stay. And well...What else is left to say? A kiss is a kiss. You can't really remember the moments before, or really as to what was running through your mind. All you can think about is the fact that his lips are now melting against yours, and you breaths mingling together to form the sweet scent of passion.

Then before I knew it, we were pressed against my closed--and locked-- bedroom door, his fingers clasped around my zipper, mine tangled in familiar blond spikes.

It wasn't at all like him to take such a bold step, of course, it wasn't at all like me to let things jump quicker than I could against a wall.
