Dr Spencer Reid and Dr Linda Kimura walked out of the concert hall together. Dr Kimura was smiling and her cheeks were flushed with excitment. It had been quite a surprise when Dr Reid had called her and invited her to a concert. It was, he said, to thank her in some small way for saving his life. She told him that it wasn't necessary, however she did find the young Doctor rather intriguing and the concert was featuring her favorite type of music. It was nearly impossible to say no.
"Thank you Dr Reid, thank you; I had a wonderful time." she told him
Spencer was pleased. He looked down at the petite dark haired woman beside him. She looked genuinely happy. He was glad he had gotten the courage up to ask her out. He truly did want to thank her, yet at the same time it was more than that. When he spoke to her she looked in his eyes and listened. She seemed interested in what he had to say. He felt an attraction to her and the fact that she was also quite lovely looking didn't hurt either.
It was a beautiful spring night; the sky was so clear, that thousands of stars were visible in the night sky.
"So did I. Would you like to walk for a while, maybe get some coffee?" He asked.
"Yes I would, I know a place near here that has great coffee and wonderful desserts." She laughed. "I have a shameless sweet tooth."
Spencer smiled at her. They walked for a while in companionable silence.
"Dr Reid, there is one thing I've been wondering. How did you know that Zydeco was my favorite type of music?"
He arched an eyebrow at her. "Why Dr Kimura, I'm a profiler, we deduce these things."
She looked at him skeptically. "Hmm, if you deduced just jazz, I might believe you. but Creole Zydeco is just a bit too esoteric, even for a BAU FBI agent."
He gave her a sideways glance in a way that she found absolutely charming. "What if I said a magician never reveals his secrets?"
She grinned at him. "Oh, you're magician now?"
He couldn't keep a straight face. "Oh alright, I asked one of your colleagues what kind of music you like and I must say Zydeco really surprised me. It's not like people are humming it on the streets of Washington."
"We lived in New Orleans when I was a child. "
"Interesting place to grow up."
"Says the man who grew up in Las Vegas." She said laughing. A light breeze came; it made her shiver slightly. She took Spencers arm and moved closer. His stomach did a slight flip in excitment at her touch.
"I'm 35, by the way." She said out of the blue.
"Oh, uh.. I'm 27."
"Yes I know. You were my patient."
They stopped walking for a moment. She suddenly seemed shy, even a little hesitant. She looked into those large brown eyes that seemed to hold the innocence of a child and the wisdom of a 90 year old man.
"What is it?" He asked.
"Dr Reid, I really feel I should be the one thanking you. I don't think we would have found the cure for that strain of Anthrax without you; at least not in time to save all those people. You put your life on the line,"
"I was doing my job. Please call me Spencer."
"Spencer, could I at least buy you dinner one night? Do you like Italian food?"
"Yes, yes I do. I would like that very much." He felt excited at the prospect of seeing her again. But he had to ask her something. They resumed walking again.
"Dr Kimura, Linda..I know you appreciate the work we did together, but... is that the only reason you want to have dinner with me?"
She looked up and smiled rather coyly at him. " Well... I did see you naked."

AN: I couldn't resist. I felt there was a real chemistry between these two and thought they'd make a cute couple, at least for a one shot. Please read and review.
