The Secret Life of No One Special
Chapter 1, Nothing in Particular
I sat in the the classroom, doodling dragons and such, when my teacher called,"Miss Stevens, can you please name the preposition in this sentence?" I looked up suddenly and could feel all the 20 eyes on me."Um…". My teacher knew I wasn't paying attention. "Would anyone like to help out here?", my teacher said casually as if nothing had happened. All of my friends, and some others, raised their hands. smiled and looked at one of my friends and said,"Ah, Sam, please tell me what the preposition is?". My friend smiled and replied, but from there I stopped listening, but put my paper away, I did NOT need that kind of embarrassment again. Instead, I found myself think of the subject of Language Arts, but in my own twisted, weird, annoying world. After a few sheets of paper, and a torturing test, my teacher finally proclaimed that it was time for recess. I smiled and packed up my stuff, yelled thanks to my teacher and left the room. Lunch. The lockers where bustling with 6th graders, all rushing to exchange binders and to get their lunches. I waited for it to clear up and got into my top locker, stretching on my toes. I was short to have a top locker but, heck. I grabbed my lunch and other binder, then joined my friends at our "spot", where we always ate lunch. It was on the side of the classroom. I dropped to the ground next to my friends and said, "Heyo peps!" They rolled their eyes at me and continued their conversation. I was the tomboy, and they were just in the middle. I smiled and talked with them, annoying them with everything that came out of my cursed mouth. I smiled and laughed as they looked at me as I made references and jokes. I sighed as they got up and left me. I got up too and put my lunch away. I grabbed my sketch book and pencil pouch, then proceed to MY spot that was at the side of the lockers, close to the door of my math classroom. My friends were used to me sitting alone. I drew six wolfs, all laughing and playing. They represented me and my friends. One of my other friends walked by and said, "That's good! What is it?". I smiled and looked up at her. "Nothing in particular."
