I'm grounded for a week, so any posting will be in the dead of night xD

Jace Wayland slowly opened his eyes. Sunlight was streaming through the window, warming his face. He blinked a few times, stretching out like a cat before sitting up and rubbing the sleep in his eyes. He had slept well, and he felt well rested, like he could face a demon with his eyes closed.

Getting out of bed, Jace padded barefoot to his bathroom. Switching on the light, he glanced at his reflection- as he always did whenever he passed a reflective surface- and stopped.

No.

Jace whirled around, stepping up as close to the mirror as he could get without actually climbing up onto the counter. He squinted his eyes, willing it to disappear, but it wouldn't. Staring it right in the face, Jace decided he had never seen anything so ugly. He would face a hundred Forsaken if this would just go away. Hell, Jace would slow dance with a Forsaken, a demon, a vampire, anything, if it would just go away.

Covering his face with his hands, he tiptoed out of his room and slowly, carefully, quietly, made his way to Isabelle's room. He knocked lightly on her door, glancing down the hall, frightened someone would see.

Isabelle opened the door, her hair piled up on top of her head and still in her pyjamas. She stared at him in concern.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?"

He shook his head.

"Then what is it?"

Jace removed his hand. Isabelle caught on immediately. She whistled, low and long.

"That's a big one."

Jace nodded. "Can I come in?"

Isabelle stepped aside. Jace hurried in, sitting on her bed. "What can you give me?"

Isabelle eyed him wearily.

"One sec."

She disappeared into the bathroom and came out with a little bottle.

"Use this. It should get rid of it in a day or two."

Jace gaped at her. "A day or two?"

"What do you want me to do, Jace? I'm not a warlock. You could always pop it."

Jace shuddered. "No."

Isabelle shrugged. "Well, unless you want concealer, Jace, I can't help you."

But his eyes had lit up. Isabelle stared at him.

"Honestly? Jace, come on, it'll only make it worse…"

"Just do it, Isabelle."

Isabelle sighed, disappearing into the bathroom again. Jace waited impatiently. Finally, she came out, holding something in her hands.

"Did you get lost?" He asked her. She rolled her eyes.

"I had to find the one that would best match your skin colour. Unless you want it to be obvious!"

Jace shook his head as Isabelle walked over. She opened up the container, rubbing the pad, before she applied it to his face. Jace sat perfectly still.

"There," Isabelle finally said. She stepped back to admire her handiwork. "You can't even see it."

Jace wouldn't believe this until he saw it for himself. He rushed into her bathroom, examining himself in her mirror. It was visible only if you knew where to look, and only if you looked closely.

He emerged from the bathroom, a grin plastered on his handsome face.

"Izzy, you're the greatest!" He said, hugging her briefly before turning towards the door.

"God, Jace, it was just a zit," she said. But he was already gone.
