A/N: In the little lull between my updates, I felt like I needed to do something...anything. Girl Talk is being stubborn as to its direction at the moment, so I decided to try my hand at a little mainstream oneshot.
FLAMES ARE LOVED.
Disclaimer: I don't own the bloody show. Pity me already.
Set In Stone
Beast Boy sat, daydreaming about Terra, now that she was inexplicably back. Resting his head on his green hands, he remembered the smile, the hairclip, the small box he'd made for her. But all she wanted to do was forget. The reality of the demise of their relationship was rather much permanent now, set in cold stone. After all, she now favoured the other world.
Relaxing outside on some random picnic bench, he gazed around with emerald eyes. Where could she be? He still withheld strong emotions for the fiery young girl. Of course, he still loved the dark mystery surrounding a particular half-demoness, though she seemed to absolutely despise him, Terra, and everything else. His heart still lay with the only girl that ever said, "You're funny." He'd been so flabbergasted. And his attraction only strengthened, her returning the same feelings, unlike his onesided attraction to Raven.
With an unhappy sigh, the shapeshifter stood, indecisive to go find Terra. Her blond hair, big eyes, sweet smile, he coudn't get them out of his head. Though he'd never admitted it to her, he loved her. Love. It was something complex, something too difficult for him, but the lingering prescence was already there, always on the back of his mind. He had to go find her. Standing, he wove his way to the school, the fancy private school that his ex-girlfriend somehow got into. Peering through huge windows, everything seemed to blend in with itself, white uniform tops and ties, skirts...everybody looked so familiar, yet so different than his beautiful Terra.
Then she strode in, surrounded by a few gaggles of talking girls that didn't seem to notice her. Her gaze was empty, like she had nothing, like she was alone, and Beast Boy's heart broke for her. Slipping queitly into the school, he entered the study hall that he'd just been peering into, and sat next to Terra.
Her gaze turned to him. "What are you doing?" She hissed, eyes slightly upset at the sudden prescence. "I thought I told you! I'm happy here." He turned to gaze at her. "Do you ever feel like maybe we're meant for one person, and that our whole lives lead up to that person?" Terra nodded slowly, thinking of just that one titan.
"And everytime you look at them, all you want to do is kiss them?" She looked down, but her mind conjured up and image of those oddly colored eyes, that strange hair... "Yeah." Beast Boy smiled at her, seeing her discomfort. "And no matter what they do, you'll always love them, no matter what they say?"
Terra looked up at him, just in time to see him nearing her. He leaned in, letting himself kiss her. She froze up for a few seconds before pulling away.
"Beast Boy...
I should have told you this before, but..."
Beast Boy grinned, one fang sticking out. "I love you too."
Terra looked up at him, a blush crossing her fac. "Actually...I'm in love with Raven."
I had to do this, since there are so many bad BBTerra fics out there.
For all of you noticing, in "Go!" Raven says BB is funny. I was intentionally screwing up.
