"What about this one? Where was that at?" Wilson questioned with complete curiosity, pointing to one of the displayed photographs.
"That one was in Sydney, I think. I don't really remember. I know dad's flight was late and Mum and I had to wait for a few hours." Chase nodded, observing the image of a much smaller version of him, so much life and innocence radiating from his younger self.
"You were adorable, you know."
Chase blushed and rolled his eyes. "Everyone's baby pictures are adorable. That's just how they are."
Rolling his eyes as well, Wilson flipped through the photo album until he got to the end where Chase had even posted a few pictures of them together. One was a photograph that Cameron had snapped at a Christmas party the hospital held. Chase was curled up in Wilson's lap and their foreheads were pressed together.
The blonde could still remember the words whispered between them as people chatted and partied the night away. Everything had felt so right that night that he was so glad someone caught it on film. Count on Cameron to be prepared. That's not saying, though, that they didn't get teasing because of that picture.
"Can I see some of your old photographs sometime? An eye for an eye, eh?"
"I suppose it wouldn't hurt to dig them out sometime. Why is it… you got these out if I may ask."
"For the memories. It's always cool to look back on the past sometimes. You can learn a lot."
The small things they shared like the photos were something that James found so unique to their relationship. His others had felt so rushed so… upbeat that he never really considered taking time to recollect and share with his significant other. It hadn't really been this easy before with his wives but with Chase, things seemed so natural so… right. This relationship was one he had regretted going into but was no longer regretting his decision.
Standing briefly and retrieving his own digital camera, he leaned in against the blonde and held it up, pressing the capture button down. Just as it was to flash, he turned, his lips connecting with Chase's in a deep, passionate kiss.
"Love you…"
The both breathed into the kiss, lips working and the flicker of the camera being the only thing to distract them.
"There, that's one for the album. A good memory, I think." Wilson smiled, offering the camera over to the other.
"Hmm, yeah, I think so."
Leaning in to press another kiss against the Australian's lips, he pulled back a little, smirking.
"Remember me for my passion…the paradise that I imagined."
Paradise, they knew, was not attainable for them. What they had was temporary, but they were living and Chase would most certainly remember James for the passion he had. Because of James, Chase was finally able to open up his heart and expose himself as truthfully as he could.
"You're terribly cheesey…"
"Oh, I know, but that makes life a little more interesting don't you think?"
"Whatever you say, James, whatever you say."
