Ashrunner looked up suddenly, shifting her ears towards the clearing a few foxlengths away. Was that a cat? She snuck forward, in the hunting crouch position, and narrowed her eyes. She opened her mouth. There was no scent on the cat. What was a rogue doing on ThunderClan territory? She saw its shadow moving around the outskirts of the clearing.

She ducked down suddenly, as the cat came into view. His silver fur was neat, patted down and flat, and his amber eyes cut through the air. He opened his mouth to check for scents. Ashrunner was glad she was downwind. There was no way he could-

"Come out of the bushes." He growled.

She hesitated. How did he know I'm here? She nearly stood up to expose herself when a different cat stalked out of the bushes.

Ambertail? Ashrunner stifled a gasp. What was her sister doing here with a rogue?

The moonlight shone down on them both. The rogue's soft silver pelt and her sister's white-and-brown fur were shimmering under the dim glow. Ambertail's blue eyes watched the rogue carefully. Ashrunner drooped her tail, knowing what was happening here.

Ambertail. How long… She didn't have time to finish her thought before the rogue hissed and lunged at her. "I told you to be ready for anything! It makes me sick that you thought I still cared about you!"

"Sky!" Ambertail screamed before he clawed at her throat. She fell down.

Ashrunner stared at her sister's body. How did this happen? She couldn't concentrate. Black seeped into her vision.

She stared at Sky. Before she knew what she was doing, she found herself right in front of him. He just stared at her. "Looking for revenge? You can have it. My life is fulfilled. But just know that I'm doing you a favor."

Ashrunner didn't respond. She didn't have to. She unsheathed her claws and growled, "Lie down. It'll be easier for the both of us." She spat out venomously.

Sky did what he was told. In the next few seconds, Ashrunner was walking back to camp, her claws dripping with the blood of her sister's killer. Her sister's advice from moons ago rang in her ears.

Ashpaw, if I ever find a mate, kill him for me, alright? I would rather spend my days with you. Nobody else seems to care. You know no tom will ever love me.

Ashrunner wondered if Ambertail had forgotten those words over the seasons.

Just a little something to maybe help with my lack of motivation. Let's hope it works. This was kinda fun to write anyway!

(It's short because it was only one page in a Microsoft Word Document, hehe)

Hope you enjoyed :)
