Hey, I know it's past Valentine's Day, but my computer wasn't working then. I have not quit my other story, I'm just taking a really long break from it.

Disclaimer: I do not own the characters, InuYasha,or anything related to InuYasha.

Candy Hearts

Kagome sat eating a bag of heart-shaped candies. A pair of fuzzy ears butted in. "Hey Kagome, what are you eating?" InuYasha asked. "They're little heart-shaped candies with messages on them. You see them a lot around Valentine's Day, which is today." Kagome answered. "Valentine's Day? What's that?" InuYasha listened intently as Kagome explained. Little did they know others were listening. "So...who like girls give them candy and flowers...and Hojo gave you a box of chocolates?" InuYasha began thinking. Kagome clamped her mouth shut realizing she shouldn't have told InuYasha that. He began getting jealous and they started to fight.

Miroku cleared his throat. "This Valen-whatever Day isn't a time for fighting, right Sango?" he said as he grabbed her hands. Sango sweat dropped.

Just then, Koga came in with a bouquet of flowers. "Kagome, I heard about this 'Valentine's Day' so I brought some flowers for my woman." He just doesn't understand I don't like him... she thought. InuYasha was beyond angry and stormed outside.

"Crap...what can I give Kagome so she'll choose me over them?" InuYasha grumbled. "Hey, wait a minute...what am I saying? I love Kikyo and I need to get something for her. I have to admit, I have feelings for Kagome, but can they even compete with those I have for Kikyo?"

At that moment, InuYasha sniffed the air. The scent was unmistakably Kikyo's. Then he got an idea. Quickly, he sliced open a huge rock with his claws, revealing jewels inside. He grabbed them and ran after Kikyo's scent.

"That's very sweet of you Koga, but I...I like...InuYasha..." Kagome said. Koga angrily went outside, but InuYasha was nowhere in sight, so he went back to his cave, deciding to get back at him later. I wonder where InuYasha is... Kagome wondered.

When InuYasha found Kikyo, he saw her reading a note. It said:

Dear Kikyo,

I have longed for you for decades but you know I can't be there, so here's something to express my love.

There was a beautiful necklace next to the note. InuYasha became furious. Naraku! He thought. "Onigumo." He corrected himself. InuYasha wouldn't give up that easily. He walked over to Kikyo, put his arm around her, and gave her the jewels. Before he could say anything, she handed him the jewels, muttered, "I have to go." and left.

Back with the others: InuYasha was heartbroken and furious. He had no one. Enviously, he watched as Miroku kissed Sango and she didn't mind in the least.

InuYasha returned inside, half expecting to see Kagome with Koga, but he wasn't there. "Hey, where's 'wolf boy'?" InuYasha asked. "Koga left after I told him I liked y- um that I didn't like him." Luckily InuYasha didn't pick up what she almost said. InuYasha sighed. "So where were you?" Kagome asked. "I was giving a present to Kikyo, but Naraku beat me to it!" InuYasha yelled and slammed his fist against the floor. Naraku? Kagome wondered, when her thought were interrupted.

"Happy Valentine's Day." InuYasha mumbled as he handed Kagome one of the jewels. It was heart-shaped. She hugged InuYasha. He hugged her back and nervously kissed her. He was relieved when she didn't pull away.

They sat together eating candy hearts. Finally InuYasha stood up. A candy heart slipped off him and into Kagome's lap. It said I Love You.

I know, it kinda stunk...please review, if you didn't like it, tell me what was bad instead of saying you hate it!
