Story's Notes: So, "If Only..." was a strange episode. I've waited for such a long time to see Damon back, but when two weeks ago a girl passed me the spoilers for the last two episode of the season, I was more happy to see Razor back than to see Damon back. That was probably because when I started watching this show Razor was there before Damon and I was completely smitten by him. He's just so great and such a great guy... always helping Emily not matter what... So I hope that now we will see more of Emily/Razor even if just as friends.
Anywho, I've watched the episode and this came up into my mind! Please, review!

"So, he's gone again?"
The cool breeze ruffled Emily's hair and she sighed watching the light of Boulder extend in front of her eyes. "Yes. He did a complicated speech about how it is right to just focus on our careers and that's all. See someone else…" she shrugged and hugged her jacket tightly around her. "The worst good-bye speech ever. 'I'm free, you're free. It's better off this way…' I just wish he'd let me talk."
Razor shoved his hands inside the pockets of his jeans and stepped closer to Emily. "And what would you have told him?"
"I don't know," she answered after a few seconds. "I just wanted for him to get it…" she turned around, her eyes finding Razor's. "To get me. I've changed and… I don't know…" she trailed off diverting her gaze. "He walked back in our lives with a brand new car and I felt so small compared to him. Because he's working on a record, because someone really believed in him and not just the guy his mother is seeing and," a sob closed her throat and she sat down.
The cool bricks of the wall digging in her back.
Razor watched her for a few seconds. A small smile crept on his face as he crouched down next to her. "Oh Kmetko," he passed his arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer to him. "You're not insignificant, not matter to whom you are compared. And I'm not saying this just because if you're small compared to him, then I'm practically nonexistent."
He chuckled and Emily's sob sounded suspiciously like a small laugh.
She pulled back and wiped her tears away. "I have my hearing on the same day of our final training with the National Committee. I don't know what to do. I feel like every thing I've worked for is slipping away right…"
"In front of your eyes," he said finishing her sentence, nodding slightly. "I know all about that. But don't worry, we will find a way. I will help you." He gave her one of his sweet smiles and Emily found herself smiling back.
"Thank you, Razor."
"Hey," he got up and stretched out his hands for Emily to take. "What's a friend for if not for bailing you out of prison, avoiding you and your mother to make a scene in front of the entire Police Department, and take the heat out of your problems?"
Emily looked up at Razor for a few seconds before grabbing his hands to get up. She threw her arms around the boy's neck and hugged him tight. "Thank you."
He held back for a second, his emotions screaming at him to just tell her that he still loved her, or to push her away and put himself out of the misery of being in the middle of the "Damong&Emily" show… but all he did was hug her back.
