I'll make this author note as short as possible. I know I bore you guyz. :/ Sorry.
Ok, this is a really short Edward's take on love. I did it at like 4 in the morning bcuz I find I'm very thoughtful at that time...also in math class. lol Please enjoy. This story means a lot to me.

That Little Thing Called Love

by: Jenn

Although I no longer lived in the world of people
I considered myself an expert on them
I found one thing, every person had in common:
The strange need to find love
Poets painted pictures of the magic, Hollywood recreated it
and few humans would demonstrate it through life
From the first hand holding in childhood, to the first kiss in young adults
ending with "till death do us part"
Oh, some people would deny it and some would despise the idea
but even they too would find love one way or another
At first, I thought "how could there be one thing that satisfied everyone?"
for everyone was different
I soon realized "love" was too broad a meaning
There were people with a love for books, for money, for family, even for their jobs, like Carlisle
Then you had unrequited love, forbidden love, and undying love
I'd experienced the unrequited kind with Tanya, but only to a degree
I lived in a house filled with undying love
and then, one day, without warning, I found love in the form of prey
A weak mysterious creature with singing blood and shielded thoughts
It was my love for a mystery solved that kept her alive at first
also a love for my family I refused to disappoint and hurt
So I kept her alive and I studied her through the eyes of her friends and loved ones
I soon found out, she was doing the same thing
We'd watch each other, ne'er speak, ne'er giving anything away
until she muttered in her sleep
On that night, I discovered the meaning to forbidden love
the one love most heard about but rarely saw
Vampire and human, it could never be
but we were both stubborn to prove it otherwise
I can't say the love came without challenges
for that was all we seemed to experience
But it was the challenges that made us stronger
Our love for each other became unique
The kind that people hundreds of years later would still remember
"There never was a story of more woe, than this of Juliet and her Romeo"
Not many people lived to prove their undying love to each other
in fact, none at all
So far, only vampires lived that long, that I was aware of
I wanted to have that eternal love like my family had
but I refused to be so selfish
To prove my undying love, I'd let her die a human
I never planned to live long after that, I would follow suit
Of course, only I liked that plan
She refused to go along with it
After many more challenges, I was ready to make a deal
I wanted "till death do us part" in return for her immortality
Eventually, she agreed for which I was ecstatic
Waiting for o'er one hundred years, I finally gained a mate
My love, my life, my undying wife
Forever we were living proof of that little thing called love
